The average person has it 100x better now than they did in the past. And even in the last century, the current war in Ukraine is 1000x less serious and deadly than a single month of WW2. While the last part may be true (for now), the war is only 6 months old. If nukes are used, a single day in WW3 would be just as catastropic as all the days of the Second World War combined. China considers Taiwan to be part of China and Taiwanese citizens as Chinese, so you’re implying they would want to nuke their own citizens while also throwing most of East Asia into a nuclear hot zone. He wants former USSR territory back and to gain global influence despite Russia being an irrelevant flop in every way since the collapse of the USSR. Believe it or not, with the way both Russia and China’s positions have faultered in the eyes of the world in the past few years, things are actually looking pretty good for western democracy.
