In honor of spooky szn, I decided to take a deep dive and discuss this. My personal favorite horror movie villain is Michael Myers, but Freddy is truly the one who gave me the creeps. His whole vibe/aura/look has always creeped me out the most.

If not Freddy, who’s your answer ATRL?

He's much more creepy while being extremely fun and camp rather than scary :gaycat2:

The only film in the franchise where he was 'scary' was probably the first film, after that he's just a super fun creeper.

New Nightmare is my fave along with the first film, I love him in that one. He freaked my little brother out when he tried to eat Dylan wrapped & his tongue Nancy :dies:

Leatherface creeps me out the most :mazen:

He got progressively less scary, but he's definitely the most dynamic and entertaining. Silent slashers like Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees can't relate to Freddy's TABS.

There's nothing even remotely scary about Freddy Kreuger, but he's a memorable character I guess.

Omg right but at the same time cracks me up right before when Julie is about to have a full on needle sword fight with the nurse :dies:

I love it, I watch it every year in October. My re-watch is about to hit soon, gotta get my box set out & ready :duca:

I agree with all that.

Art is so disappointing because the writer / director are SO bad at what they do that I can't believe they even do it, but the make-up and costuming department are fantastic. He could have been something in the right hands.
