Not sure it will matter. They were probably gonna remove the port completely soon anyways and just go strictly with the mag-safe chargers.

Unless portless chargers like that are also banned?

does magsafe have the capability to transfer information yet? if so, they are definitely going to remove the port 2-4 years down the line

I was thinking today even before I read these news that apple would probably remove the port completely soon in favor of the MagSafe chargers and here we are. I think that’s the most probable future scenario

I doubt they'll make two different versions of the phone. The iPhone 15 (2023) is already rumored to be switching over to USB-C

Anyone who's been paying attention knows the iPhone 15 will debut with a USB-C charing port next year, and it will be about DAMNED time. I'm tired of having different charging cables for my phone, watch & laptop.

Is it a Mac? I know Apple has re-implemented the magsafe adapters, but I believe they can still be charged via the on-board USB-C/Thunderbolt ports.
