I mean it's Stockton. I'm shocked a serial killer even makes a blip on the radar there

You know what, no. I'll own up to that. But my point stands, I used the word "could" for a reason.

This is what happens when you glorify serial killers for entertainment.

i literally wrote a 40 page thesis on this for university; copycat killers are rarely if EVER inspired by the media to commit their crimes. literally almost every case of that happening is not true, columbine included. it takes much more than a dramatization in a movie or a video game to make someone go out and take a life lol

fear mongering is a disease !

Stockton is a pretty dicey area. My Mom and I only stayed in a Motel 6 there while traveling.

Hope they eventually catch him though I wonder if he is targeting homeless and druggies?

not motel 6

I absolutely blame Ryan Murphy for inspiring this sicko. It's so obvious

Stop glamorizing serial killers. Murphy should be in prison

How stupid can you get for blaming netflix

They allow big dogs (which my Mom and I had two labs at the time) so you can go and take a seat. My Mom wasn't thrilled about being in Stockton either back then. Plus depending on the location some are very nice. The one in Carpenteria was lovely and there was one in Roseburg, Oregon that was two stories. We simply were just there overnight while traveling to Washington in 2019 (and again coming home months later).

That's a reach. I'm sick of people glamorizing serial killers too, but to blame Ryan Murphy or Netflix for a killing spree that started over 1 1/2 years ago, when the show is barely out for two weeks, is ridiculous. As if 95% of the GP even knows when the production of a show starts. And Jeffrey Dahmer was well known before the show.

Also, these men were shot and the article doesn't even mention their sexuality, except that one of them was a father. So what does this have to do with Dahmer? Serial killers existed way before true crime documentaries and tv shows and will continue to exist.

Imagine being so dumb that you think you'll get away with this in 2022.

Imagine being so dumb to make this comment.

As of right now, the FBI claims theres about 25 to 50 serial killers. Most serial killers are never found. Most targets are serial killers tend to be homeless, POC, trans and sex workers. In other words, people that law enforcement don't care about and aren't willing to put the effort to investigate.

Here's a list of all unidentified serial killers

I had a feeling that we were going to start seeing an uptick of this stuff with the recent serial killer zeitgeist we’ve been experiencing in popular media — the mix of our current collective experience and the type of violence we are constantly consuming is kind of a recipe for disaster

I get what ya mean. I do watch something like Dahmer (and other true crime shows) and wonder how this isn't setting off 30 physchos every day.
