HIAM was #60 on Hot 100 Year End

BMS will likely be around #30

I’d give it #50 max. It’s falling fast and simply just is not the hit y‘all want it to be. All the other songs that were smashing at the same time are still top 20, 30 at least. This one might not even be top 50 this week.

Can you stop acting like these numbers are not underwhelming. :rip:

200M is not a lot for a #1 peaking single which spent multiple weeks in the top 10. It's ok to admit that it was carried by radio.

Wait For U came out in May & has 257 Million, and certainly wasnt carried by radio :rip:

200M is pretty average, it's been out for only 3 Months

We know that it's received a further 120M on other streaming services though. Maybe if ATRL stopped putting so much focus on a singular streaming service, you'd probably understand differing viewpoints. :rip:

lmao :deadbanana2: Only 6 weeks for 13 songs to pass BMS points for it to end up #50.

Beyonce has been here for a long time, mess at delusional people expecting her to have some sort of Dua Lipa streaming numbers. This is doing well and will be a signature hit when all is said and done :clap3:

Damn, even for a local hit these numbers are mild. :rip:

I was told in the other thread that BMS and Renaissance are doing much better than folklore on every platform. So I am honestly surprised of only 200 million streams (it was a #1 smash, they said.)

How long did it take Cardigan to get to 200 million. :coffee:

All the haters running in when their favs have done worse with their leads.

Every song receives streams from other streaming services too? But obviously Spotify is the reference, especially since their numbers are public and therefore more reliable than "what we know". :rip:

And "what we know" is that BMS was bigger particularly on AM. So you pretending it's underwhelming that she "only" has reached 200M on her weaker streaming service is more of you issue than anyone else.

Beyoncé having better numbers on AM doesn't make her Spotify numbers less underwhelming? Which was my initial point.

Spotify is the most popular streaming service thus why it will be used as the main reference for streams. THIS THREAD is also about Spotify, perhaps you're the one who's totally off-topic? :gaycat6:

200M isn't underwhelming though, it's in line with many other hits. As has been highlighted in the thread. Me also pointing out that the song was bigger on other streaming services and has accumulated an additional 120M streams (on top of the 200M you're "underwhelmed" by) isn't off-topic. But I understand why you're mad at it being pointed out. Kinda defeats the whole narrative about the song being an under-performance, that you're trying to spin. :coffee2:

200M is absolutely underwhelming considering the song came out months ago and it's out of the top 10 now, so its numbers won't get much of a boost. :rip:

Good luck convincing yourself of that though.

Everybody gets streams from other platforms :ahh: 200M is very low for someone of Beyoncé's stature who just released a eurodiscopop song at the peak of streaming and following that disco trend.

Yes, but most of those songs received the bulk of their streams from Spotify. We know that Spotify wasn't the platform that BMS smashed the hardest on. It's hysterical trying to watch someone who has spent years stating Beyoncé is a flop and musically irrelevant now saying "some of Beyoncé's stature to be receiving more than 200M streams". Girl, BYE. :lmao:

Beyonce's stature being a 90s artist before streaming was ever even thought of :rip:please focus on Britney and only her....

I will focus on whoever the **** I want because I'm a free person and 200M is a bomb for ATRL standards and we will discuss it accordingly.

If 200M in 3.5 months is a "bomb", what's 70M in 1.5 months? :)

He is just mad.

Britney’s last single to hit 200 million was WB? :rip:

Make Me - 125 million

Slumber - 71 million

Hold Me Closer is going to struggle too.

Other artist has AM streams too but they're not dominating like B. So obviously their Spotify numbers are higher.

Beyoncé getting 50 streams on Spotify and 50 streams on AM (Beyoncé's streaming power is good on both streaming services)  is also equivalent to artist B getting 90 streams on Spotify and 10 streams on AM (some artist like Gaga completely flopped on AM). Also, B's biggest market is the US due to her primarily R&B/urban sound like the likes of SZA/ Summer Walker and most of Americans are using AM.  Lastly, this is B's first era that she fully embraced Spotify.

B is 41 years old why do you expect her to pull Olivia's numbers? She didn't even promote her music like other artists do.

According to Liddos, it was a top 5 "hit" that had less weeks in the top 10 and failed to make the YE list so I'd figure that "smash" applies to BMS  quite well:giraffe:

That Xtina Stan always getting my fave dragged like that :toofunny3:

Honestly, this! I’m not a Bey fan tbh abut we can’t as a website constantly want our faves to produce these gay dance bops that smash like it’s 2009 :toofunny2: she’s 41 whatever she puts out will struggle to click the same

If radio factors into determining it’s YEC then possibly :bibliahh:

It’s so funny honestly how the only people defending this are her stans, everyone else being non biased is saying it how it is, underwhelming and bordering a front load, moderate hit at most.

Literally the post above yours is a user who actively drags Beyoncé who is "defending this". :skull: You got dragged by so many people in the predictions thread over BMS' performance, by stans and numerous users who don't even like Bey. Why do you keep doing this to yourself? :toofunny3:
