Renan90 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 (edited) Bad Bunny’s ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ Back at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart for 12th Week Plus: 5 Seconds of Summer debut at No. 2, while Alice in Chains' 'Dirt' returns to top 10 after reissue. Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti is back atop the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Oct. 8) for a 12th nonconsecutive week, as the set steps from No. 2 to No. 1 with 87,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Sept. 29 (down 6%), according to Luminate. The last album with more weeks at No. 1 was Drake’s Views, with 13 nonconsecutive weeks on top in 2016. Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200, 5 Seconds of Summer’s new 5SOS5 bows at No. 2, while Alice in Chains’ Dirt re-enters the chart at No. 9 following its 30th anniversary reissue. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Oct. 8, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Tuesday (Oct. 4). family.guy123 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Down 6%. Hoping it accelerates further so Dangerous can snag another week at #1. Maybe in January

Mass GP appeal? No. but if I happen to be surrounded by Latinos then yes to bad bunny. Or if I’m in a crowd of inbred crackas then also yes to the pasty one.

Mmmm they’re huge within their respective target markets. me and my friends literally blast Bad Bunny’s album every time we go out or stuff. Album consumption has gone down a lot tho, and streaming doesn’t really help. I guess long albums like BB and Morgan’s benefit from this bc they almost feel like a playlist to some extent. You can just shuffle it and everything just hits. So it’s easier for them to do good on the charts. Edited October 2, 2022 by SweetTalker
Kings. Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 5SOS Was just told they’re independent now and wow, I’m proud of them!
unclefloprry Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 It's funny that people are "intrigued" now, but they don't say anything when a pop girl is #1 for weeks only driven by her fandom or multiple album versions despite the gp doesn't stream or buy their music Benito did that carried by a whole demographic

I just haven't heard much about Bad Bunny IRL, and never run into any songs from UVST. His apparent popularity is so bizarre to me, since half of my extended family is Spanish-speaking. A good number of country music fans reference songs from Dangerous, especially last year. More recently, one of his songs has been picked up by Top 40 radio in the south, so I suspect that album will be around for quite some time... Edited October 3, 2022 by RobynYoBank
