For instance Spice was released in the US in November 1997, less than 9 months after their previous mega seller Spice, which came out in February. When you release too much too quick often times the hype gets split up between old and new projects, which maybe one of the reasons why Spice had such a strong year even in 1997 despite peaking in sales in the 1996 holiday season.

I always forget how condensed their success was, it feels like we had the Spice Girls for so much longer looking back
