That wasn't a shade. wtf. She probably used JLo as an example because Lou Taylor used to be her management but never treated Jlo the way she treated Britney. And she doubt Jlo's family would allow that too, cause her family loves her. And unlike the times she attacked Xtina, there's no drama or shade or anything like that here. It was only an example.

But well, about the retirement, at this point, I guess she should do it. She deserves peace and love, and rest from all this hell she lived.

I really like Britney but you can tell she's been through a lot and is rightfully angry, I don't think venting on social media is the best thing to do but at the end of the day she's free to do what she wants.

She's allowed to vent, but this name-dropping isn't helpful. None of this is helpful or productive, even if she wasn't shading anyone.

 

Maybe it's a fuse for her to release tension while she waits for the book to drop? Regardless of her not needing a conservatorship, her abusive family or god forbid...lihium that Jamie doped her up with, surely therapy might help? Maybe she is seeing one or a psychiatrist.

Lbr she can't truly retire. Even some of the richest musicians in the industry who are 60+ years old still have to go on tour every few years because they can't sustain their expensive lifestyles on royalties alone. And also considering how much money Team Con stole from Brit, I highly doubt she's got enough savings to retire at her age.

This is one of the worst things about Britney’s situation. You can clearly tell she still has a passion for music and performing, but it’s probably hard for her to tap into that when her artistry was stifled for 13 years and she was only allowed to do what her handlers wanted her to do. I can’t imagine how terrible it must feel for someone to take your love and passion, commercialize it, and put profits above everything else, Britney’s thoughts and feelings be damned. Especially since Britney has been saying since 2001 that she doesn’t care about sales and charts, and just wants to release music that she likes and is proud of. I personally don’t believe she’s going to retire either, but I think she’s going to go independent once/if she releases again. I just don’t see how she could ever feel safe in an industry where her abusers are still so omnipresent.

J.Lo is managed by longtime manager Benny Medina since 1999 (and still is).
 

Lou’s firm, TriStar, used to do the financial admin, accounting, taxes for J.Lo. Basically her firm handled her money. Crazy enough, Lou weaseled her way into J.Lo’s life around the time she started the All I Have residency at Planet Hollywood in Vegas (after Britney’s first residency ended). 
 

Luckily, though, she has since fired TriStar and taken her business away from Loucifer when she was made aware by Courtney Love and Miley Cyrus that Lou/TriStar was involved in Britney’s conservatorship. Around that time J.Lo also started supporting Britney publicly by liking her posts, commenting on them and sharing an IG story and Tweet.
