Lana Del Rey & Speed Radio - "Summertime Sadness (Sped Up)"

Why is Speed Radio a thing when anyone can speed up a song within a minute?

Why do they have 6M monthly listeners on Spotify?! What a scam

this trend of slowed up, speed down, reverbed bullsh*t is so confusing to me

Where did it even start? :skull:

I remember sped-up songs way back in the mid-2000s... now it's called "nightcore" :deadbanana2:

It's her right as someone with a writing credit on the song to refuse permission to remix it

There isn't even anything bad about approving it. Neither this nor the remix. It's easy cash. Nothing wrong with it

What is the deal with these stupid "sped up" songs? :deadbanana4:

Like who would want to listen to something sped up? It makes no sense

If she’s willing to sell her soul like this then why not release Queen of Disaster, etc on streaming :ace:

To be fair, Nightcore is a big "genre" on YouTube

But I think releasing these on streaming platforms is a scam and shouldn't be happening.

Better for her to approve it and let it get a quiet release and rake in the cash from streaming instead of letting some unclaimed Tik Tok edit pull in money for some twink in Ohio who decided to upload it himself since it wasn't available in audios on the app.
