"In this weekly data series powered by Parrot Analytics we look at the top breakout shows of the past week. Breakout shows are the most in-demand series that have premiered in the past 100 days.

While demand for HBO’s “House of the Dragon” has risen this week, demand for Amazon Prime Video’s “The Rings of Power” fell by 13%, according to Parrot Analytics‘ data, which takes into account consumer research, streaming, downloads and social media, among other engagement.

Another week like this and the “Game of Thrones” prequel will have twice the demand of “The Rings of Power.” If the trajectories of these two shows remain on this path, it’s looking like HBO will have won the much-anticipated faceoff without there being much of a fight at all.

Holding onto the top spot again, “House of the Dragon” widened its lead over rival shows on this week’s ranking of breakout shows. Last week, it looked like the early hype around the series may have been subsiding, but the 13% growth in demand for the show this week put it comfortably ahead of other recent premieres, with 55.4 times the average series demand.

Demand for Disney+’s “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” also fell, but by only 6%, ensuring that the relative ranking of the top three shows remained unchanged.

FX’s “Welcome to Wrexham” held onto its fourth place rank this week, just slightly growing its demand by 2%. But the network’s adult animated comedy, “Little Demon” lost some steam this week, as its demand fell by 16%."

Looks like the Sandman is flopping. Netflix may not renew it for a second season if that continues.

A smash

Let's also not forget The Sandman on the end of the list is produced by Warner too :clap3:

He is winning twice this year.

He wrote the blockbuster game of this year (Elden Ring) and now executive producer on a smash Tv show.

"parrot analytics"? it's like there's a new random company every week coming up with streaming numbers

i've also never heard of this welcome to wrexham thing which gets about 200k live tv viewers.

I do think HOTD is bigger at this point (which makes sense given the current brand power) but Parrot is NOT a reliable source and has not been for some time, so there's no excuse to continue posting them. The way they measure analytics is conflated with "hype", including social media engagement, which is not an accurate measure for streaming. Many shows that attained fantastic social media engagement have been cancelled.

The LOTR franchise has always been slow-paced, so I'm not surprised they're not doing that well. The pace is better suited for Netflix type of release, where all episodes come out on the same day. Most people don't have patience to wait a week for little plot development and climax.

Having she-hulk as second place is already fake because it’s certainly flopping in viewers literally a week ago was out of the top 10. So I don’t believe this is accurate.

I really don't understand why some people feel the need to create a competition between these two shows. :rip:

Don't know if he has grossed more than US$6.000.000.000... Wich is the mark of The Lord of The Rings + The Hobbit franchise
