My working theory is that it's a combination of culture and missing hits.

Much in the way some regions are known for hype audiences (e.g. New York, LA, Paris, London), we know certain regions (especially many deep European countries) are way more tranquil at shows. A "clap when we're supposed to" tea. A Stockholm but elsewhere tea.

I get the sense that some of these regions are moreso versed in the Beyonce name/brand than her newest music. Which is great for her in the long run (e.g. people want to see her regardless... largely on the merit of her established skills as a performer) but inevitably this has them on mute when she bypasses big hits like Halo, Irreplaceable, Single Ladies, Drunk In Love to perform mostly new music. I'm fine with it as a stan, but these more "general jukebox" regions inevitably would be quiet all things considered.

Still, totally inexcusable when sis is slaying like that...right...in...front..of...them lol.

The US tends to be lit throughout, so the rest of the shows should be fun to watch.

It has a lot to do with her recent material not being singalong music. An average English speaker will have way more trouble understanding and memorizing lyrics from The Gift and Rennie than your typical Gaga, Katy, Adele, Rihanna (etc.) song. People at the shows I attended sang along to all of the songs off 4 which makes sense.

Those are some good points. The general cultural differences have big impact on the way people behave on concerts. And her lyrics indeed tend to be hard to follow :dies: As a white person whose first language isn't English it's often hard to rap/sing along even though I'm a big fan and I know these songs very well.

But still... stans whine about her sabotaging her eras and demolishing any chance of scoring a hit but it's always from a charts perspective. - oh, she could have another #1 or TOP 10 if she did this or that - honestly, who gives a damn :dies: But having known songs that people recognise, have memories with and sing along to on the radio helps create fans and engage concert audiences too. That way people actually know your music and come to a show to hear it and not just because of your legendary name alone even though they haven't heard a song of yours since Drunk in Love (which also is a good thing in a way but that's another story).

I honestly think Beyonce would want to trasition to legacy act, who just releases music as she pleases and go on tour every now and then. But she's still too relevant. Hence all the self sabotage going on. Like, she wants to do something fresh and new because it's exciting for her, but doesn't really want the attention that comes with it, lol.

For our greed she should and needs to extend the tour.

Pleaseandthankyou.

I’ve seen her in Warsaw this Wednesday and what a ******* show it was. At first I hated the idea of opening with four ballads, but when she came out and started belting… I was floored. :jonny: She looked so ******* good in that silver dress too. Her talent is through the roof, it’s always a pleasure to witness it in person.

There are several things I disliked tho. She was over an hour late which is never cute. The show, even though it’s very fun, felt just a tiny bit too long. She could’ve easily cut one or two songs. I don’t like stadium shows because it’s hard to get a good view. I was in the golden circle, but I would’ve had a better view if I was in the regular GA, which makes no sense considering the price difference :skull: One thing that also irked me was the amount of crew walking around the stage during the performances :rip: What happened to getting props on/off as discreetly as possible?

Overall, this was easily the best show that I have attended. The production, the vocals, the visuals - everything was a complete serve. I hope there is a 2nd European leg cause I will be going again.

Also - is the tourbook really €100 or was the lady at the merch stand ******* with me? :deadbanana:

it does cost €100 :gaycat6:

The tourbook should be a hardcover coffee table book for that price.

The black shirt on which she’s wearing the cowboy hat and bra has triggered me since the first time I saw it  because it’s giving Formation, not Renaissance. It reminds of that first black and white promo image from the Formation Tour where she has the flower in her mouth.

I have been praying since the start of the tour that this **** is cheaper in the US, especially with ticket prices being as insane as they are :deadvision:

I was a little miffed about this at first but I think it's a part of the performance? like they are essentially choreographed. goes with the "rough" image she has for the first RENAISSANCE section, where they are the most noticeable. the fake industrial look on the big screen and all that.

This is my experience as well. I was in the 3rd row in GC and the vibe was giving funeral. I was almost the only one dancing, screaming and jumping. By the time we reached half of the concert it kinda brought my mood down as well and made it a worse experience for me.

[...] And the thing is that half of the sector weren't even Polish people. I was surrounded mostly by Italians and Middle-Eastern crowd (Warsaw is always the city that attracts many people from all the countries that didn't get their own show, on top of Poles) - so imagine travelling all that way just to be stiff af :biblio: Her being a whole ass hour late after we were all queuing in heavy rain didn't help either...

omggg my friend and i were in the VIP block (not the on stage risers) and we asked soooo many people from livenation, ticketmaster, etc to get upgraded because there was so much space in the GC and some girl from our block got upgraded to Club Renny :chick3:

sadly they didn't want to upgrade us (despite us travelling to poland for it and it being my birthday) but it was still such a serve to see the show again, i can't complain we had some people around us that were singing and jumping to the bops like us but it would have been such a bigger serve if we managed to get down on the floor. there was only like one couple next to us and a few people who kept filming and sitting still but i was glad we had enough people in our block going wild so we didn't have to feel awkward about it.

The 21-piece collection pays homage to the tour's already legendary aesthetic, featuring a Summer Renaissance sweatshirt, boasting bold "B" details in homage to the queen herself, as well as a rodeo-ready silver cowboy hat. A hefty 80-page book is filled with exclusive images. The flagship also includes an exhibition of Bey's couture looks with Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing, allowing fans to get up close and personal with the unique designs marking an historic moment.

Commemorating the exhibition is a four-piece collection, including oversized T-shirts, hoodies, as well as a roomy bag, complete with the collection's logo.

Available at the Holt Renfrew store, 50 Bloor Street West, July 5-11, 2023, priced between $25 and $325 CAD, while the exhibition collection ranges from $200 to $600 CAD.

The fact that they haven't even bother to lower the ticket prices for the Toronto shows. The gross will be insane.
