Beyoncé | Renaissance World Tour | Tour of the Decade leaves all in awe!

She's at the height of her career which lets her be free to do whatever she feels like doing.

In other words, if she feels like dancing, she dances, if she feels like singing, she sings, if she feels like not promoting and not releasing videos, she won't do any of that. Simple as that.

This is what "nice things" mean for Beyoncé. So if you don't like how she handles things, namely starting off with a ballad set, which she loves madly, but also cutting a song that has never been a fan favourite, then you can leave. No one forces you to "stan" Beyoncé.

Calm down girl, I was clearly not legitimately upset with her? I bought a ticket ages ago and am not giving it up so clearly I’m just joking around and having fun with it like everyone has been doing in regards to the ballad set and songs being cut.

Do I think that she’s cut better songs/performances in favor of a section of the show that feels wildly out of place? Yes. Do I suddenly hate her for it? No.

And even if I was serious, I can stan her and criticize her both. Stanning doesn’t mean blind devotion and support of every choice and thing. Sometimes I disagree with her, and the ballads section is one of those times. I’m still gonna love the show, she still serves. I don’t even dislike ballads, I’m a ballad hoe, I think she just picked a poor selection of them at venues with curfew would rather the trimming happen there than to the main bulk of the set because those are songs I’ve wanted to see live since Renaissance came out.

Chill out.

She absolutely nailed "Energy" choreo in Paris and I love to see her doing that! One of my favourite songs off the album and I always pictured it as a dance party.

Maybe those rumours about her being injured and healing were true, cause you can tell with each show she lets loose more and more.

Also, "Cozy" is easily one of the higlights of the tour so far. Love every second of it.

the curfew theory is obviously made up anyway :ducky:

That part. I don't think the lift in the middle of stage works.

Yesterday’s show was probably the best concert I’ve been to, so happy I got to see her again :angelo: such a legend

Loved the opening ballads, kinda felt intimate but the locals were lost :rip:

Did she ever perform the Drunk In Love portion ever again after night #1???

I was watching a live stream, but did she do the actual Crazy in Love choreo where she bends her knees and dropped to the ground? She been avoiding that part.

This injury seems temporary and not permanent with the way she does more and more choreo as the shows go on. :WAP:

why are so butthurt when people say bye to ballads, you are not the spokesperson of Beyoncé. If you don't like different opinions, eject yourself of the thread :rip:

An answer has already been given to you. She's a stellar vocalist, so whoever doesn't get excited to hear her voice doesn't deserve to be a fan of Beyoncé.

Chill out.

Which other ballads was she supposed to sing? The cheesy, lame and mediocre XO and Perfect? No thanks.

It's very likely that she also feels tired of singing Halo.

Regardless, she's still performing almost the entire album. In fact she has never performed so many songs from their supporting album before. 14 tracks out of 16 is a lot.

The last time she came close to that

figure was during TBE, which had around 12/13 songs off B'Day.

I think we all have our preferences but I personally think this is a pretty solid setlist overall.

I am glad it is a well balanced setlist consisting out of different aspects of almost every part of her career.

The 'opener' set is brilliantly done and after years of people downplaying her as a vocalist, it is a joy to see her doing a small set celebrating herself as the truly unmatched vocalist. The way she smiles and interacts with the crowd is just priceless, I can not wait to attend a show. I fully embrace anything she decided for this tour because it genuinely seems to make her happy.

She has plenty of options for ballads wtf!

Speechless, Heaven,Pray You Catch Me, Me Myself And I would ve been amazing !

And as much y all like to hate on IASF, it has some amazing ballads such as Disappear,Satellites, Smash Into You.

All better options than the overdone F&A,1+1,I Care.

but at the end of the day the opening set is definitely for her to enjoy herself singing her favorite songs and we all know she loves 1+1 and I Care... and FAA hasn't been around for a while but she's been saying before singing it how she connects with the message of the song now more than ever, so i doubt it's going away

Its just simple: She loves singing flaws and all, 1+1 and I care, so it is what it is. She specifically shouts out flaws and all every gig and how it relates to her

While I agree id love to hear her sing Disappear, Yes, Otherside or Scared of Lonely (stripped down), I respect her choices because it just.makes her happy. And THAT is something the audience can feel

Why is she not dancing? Did she hurt her foot?

I am going to see her this weekend first and then in Amsterdam again.

I love hearing her voice girl, I just think that it’s an awkward start to an otherwise immaculate show. It feels very out of place out of step with everything that follows it. Yes, she sounds incredible. That isn’t news, she always has. That doesn’t change that it’s a very odd start that has a lot of dissonance with the rest of the show.

Sorry you don’t think I “deserve” it, but I’ve adored her since I was little kid and I’m seeing her in July like I’ve always wanted to. That doesn’t mean I’m gonna kiss her ass, though. If she does something that I’m not a particular fan of, I’m not gonna pretend to love it just because it’s Bey. That’s childish and I’m not a blind stan. The show is almost perfect and I will get my life, regardless of how I feel about it’s one stumble which is the awkward opening.

Imagine trying to gatekeep one of the biggest artists in the entire world. Embarrassing, actually.

I still think the intro may be moved or cut when she goes to NA where the shows will be primarily in darkness or closed stadiums. There's a reason the backdrop is a sunset sky - she's letting it get darker before she goes into the Renaissance part

The comments say that is one “little” moment of few. My friend saw her in Edinburgh and said she wasn’t dancing and apparently had hurt her foot? Or that she was starting to feel her age.
