Both used cheap tactics with the same amount of versions (18) but it just shows twice has more of a dedicated fandom cause only 4 versions helped in making those numbers happen, the rest helped in overall sales

I didn't count the kit because it's not being sold in US store I believe and same for the vinyl, only on Ktown4u, YGselect, Weverse (limited vinyl) and will be available in december.

 

Twice had 4 regular versions but we all know kpop stans buy the albums for the inclusions and they had 4 target exclusive and 4 Barnes&Nobles exclusive, same albums with new inclusions like exclusive postcards or photocards. Blackpink exlcusive Target album = stickers + poster, YG couldn't even give an exclu photocard lol

 

Edit : So I checked on Target and they don't have the kit/Vinyl.

So you just focused on the digipacks from my post. And yes it does change something when it's available on physical stores, my US friend, who likes Blackpink (she's a Sone and she bought her BP album on Ktown4u) isn't part of the hardcore fandom, went to target and saw BP albums, she dmed me asking me why is it that expensive? ofc she didn't buy the target exclusive, if there was digipacks maybe she would have bought one (Rosé is her fav member).
