If they are trying to save money it would be better if they chose 2D animation style instead like Beauty and the Beast which had a budget of only 40M back in the 90s. It would've look more beautiful. I love 2D Disney animations I wish that style was still in use. The princess is very beautiful though. I will be watching. Edited May 1, 2023 by Aristotle
Da Vinci Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Not a fan of the art style Seems more of a cash grab like they saw Spiderverse smashing on a lower budget and got acclaim and decided to copy that Even the title is lazy and will inevitably draw comparisons to The Last Wish I agree they should've gone with a full on hand drawn animation like the classics, literally what fans were actually asking for all these years but of course they had to play it safe Story seems lame too with that generic and lame villain, but then again it's better than yet another "twist" villain I guess but I'll stop judging it cause it's just the teaser Such a shame cause I love Asha and Valentino's character designs and the gorgeous 2D backgrounds (imagine if everything else was 2D) Even Valentino's voice is a turn off too, very jarring and tryhard "My VoIcE iS LoW ;)" *gag*
Drowned8World Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 the mixed 2D-3D is getting boring quickly. Netflix did it better years ago with Klaus.
poki Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Disney in 2010: classic animation costs too much money. CGI is cheaper Disney in 2023: spends more money on CGI than hand drawn animation

Saint James Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 surprised it’s Julia Michaels and not Julia Michels who is music supervisor on a bunch of tv and film
poki Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 And we can expect what? $100M at most based on how the last few non-sequel animated movies have done
Gossip_Boy Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Disney needs to do something regarding its budgets. Okay Elemental I could maybe kind of get because of the hyper realistic animated style which is more expensive, but how the **** does this have a budget of $200M? This is why barely any of their **** has broken even this year.
QueenBLadyG Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Oh, wow! The animation looks like a storybook come to life!
Europe Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Magnifico is SO HOT. They better redeem this gorgeous daddy by the end of the story. 1
poki Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 So far I don't see much promo for this. Is this about to be Strange World 2.0?
mystery Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 This doesn't look like a 200m dollar movie.
ninasayers Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 The people saying this is gonna flop are in for a rude awakening.
Smarticle Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 From the creators of Frozen so they're expecting Frozen numbers even the characters look similar to Frozen too
