And why Progress even charted on the Hot 100 despite only having 200k streams and no radio. Yeah, if Billboard wants the charts to be an accurate representation, they need to stop counting sales towards the Hot 100.

Why stop counting? Sales were always a big part of Hot 100 formula...The fans of these artists bought the songs to support their faves.. it's legal... nothing wrong with that.. Also,billboard changed the rules and stopped the mass- buying thing. So they can't cheat anymore..Artists like Nicki or Britney have a lot of fans...the fans increased the digital sales this year..Nicki did 89k sales and Britney almost 50k sales... these sales are impressive in 2022 .. and the streaming was also good for these songs... 21 Million streams debut for Nicki Minaj and 12 Million streams debut for Hold Me Closer ..

A small part of the sales came from the website stores...Super Freaky Girl was #1 with a huge lead on itunes for over a week... Britney's hold me closer was #1 on Itunes with huge lead for 15 days!!!

Its very common for an artist to release a clean version along side the explicit version.
