Good for Gaga :clap3:

Japan staNS hard for dance music. Folklore & Evermore doesn't appeal much to the Japanese market

If the source is Oricon, where is the article or link where they claim this? Because I genuinely can't find it anywhere. When you look it up, it's just Little Monsters claiming that without providing the actual source from Oricon :rip: The first sentence of your post makes it seem like you're talking about figures from the overall album chart from Oricon, which is point based, not sales based, so the 105K figure would indeed be wrong. On that chart, 300 views = 1 point, for example. Oricon has no chart that isn't point-based that combines digitals with physicals. They are usually counted separately.

@ViviLittleM can you post the source please? I saw it on PopA911 but now I cant find it.

You're linking to the general website of Oricon and not to the actual source :rip: Where does it actually say on Oricon that it sold 105K copies? The copy-paste you did was originally from GagaDaily, but again did not link to any real source. Not to mention the fact that this data would be from the Combo chart, which is point-based and does not reflect actual sales :deadbanana4:

Chromatica charted on the Combo chart for 22 weeks, which is less than both evermore and folklore, which supposedly sold less according to the OP. The only reason it charted again for this week is because they released a Japan Tour Edition, like... :deadbanana4:

Can you link the actual report? All I find recently is Chromatica tour edition charting with 1.7k points for week and then out

Gaga is much bigger than Taylor in Japan. Same thing for South Korea and my country (Taiwan). Taylor is bigger in SouthEast Asia

Oh wow, Gaga winning like that. Cute numbers for other girls too.

Not to downplay her success

she’s undeniable huge in Japan, especially during her peak

she’s like only behind Mariah and Avril

but Chromatica only appeared in the general album chart for two weeks

its peak was #34

and this week is the second week it ever charted and it’s at #41

the math just ain’t mathing

It’s for japan tour edition. The original one charted for 22 weeks on Oricon Chart.

The way you keep calling out Monsters here for posting fake info (and even confirming you went to GagaDaily :skull:) but meanwhile you keep saying incorrect stuff :rip: Chromatica Tour Edition's sales are being counted seperately by Oricon, as its evident on their site.

Love how you ignore everything I said and, yet again, failed to provide an actual source. :rip:

Literally nothing I said what inaccurate. YOU are the one that brought up the Combo chart to justify the 105K figure. I doubt you even know how Oricon works, so you acting brave here is just laughable. I bet you checked out Gaga's Oricon page and saw the tour edition and the normal edition being 2 separate entities and ran with it without asking question since it fits your narrative. Maybe if you were a bit more knowledgable, you'd know that all the versions of an album are combined for the Oricon combo chart, while the normal edition and the tour edition would chart separately on the actual sales charts (physicals, digitals). Otherwise, why do you think Chromatica randomly started charting on the Combo chart again after months of being out RIGHT when the tour edition is released? :priceless: And that's with you still ignoring the fact that the chart is point-based and not sales-based, mind you :priceless:

I'm begging you to find anything that I said that is actually incorrect, because in trying to prove it you only ended up saying, well, incorrect things :priceless:

Still waiting for a source by the way! :priceless:

Months later and still no one can prove these numbers dddd :rip: they're literally impossible.

Factual numbers, Chromatica did 25,266 on it's first 20 weeks reported by Oricon on physical sales, digital sales are lower than physical in Japan by MILES. So unless a miracle happened and she sold just beneath the threshold to chart every single day... she's probably at not even half of those 100k.

22 weeks.

folklore charted for 33 and somehow Chromatica sold triple of it?

22 weeks is also less than Positions, evermore and SOUR, only 1 week more than 30.

Future Nostalgia charted for 61 weeks.

That’s why

Now everything makes sense

cause she’s just unmatched at her peak

No way she could only chart that few weeks there

That’s what I found

And I gladly accepted what you proved and corrected myself

you don’t have to act all defensive, a star big like her doesn’t need insecure fans
