Chromatica highest-selling Western female album this decade in Japan

Not surprised, Gaga is one of the most global music stars ever. During her peak(s) (Fame/Fame Monster/Born This Way and A Star is Born) she was one of the rare Western artists to be played and heavily featured in media and feel like a presence even in third world countries that have little legit music industry to speak of (of course Japan isn't in this category but it's just another example of her insane reach). The world truly was ready for a megastar with the talent and vision to rival MJ/Madonna.

If it sold 105K, it would be Gold certified (100K), which it isn't.

Where did they get these numbers?

the Oricon chart tracked it somewhere between 30k-40k...

would @gagadaily have any reason to lie?

The 105k figure is combining the digital and physical sales of the album. And the source is Oricon so it cant be more legit then that :toofunny2:

If the source is Oricon, where is the article or link where they claim this? Because I genuinely can't find it anywhere. When you look it up, it's just Little Monsters claiming that without providing the actual source from Oricon :rip: The first sentence of your post makes it seem like you're talking about figures from the overall album chart from Oricon, which is point based, not sales based, so the 105K figure would indeed be wrong. On that chart, 300 views = 1 point, for example. Oricon has no chart that isn't point-based that combines digitals with physicals. They are usually counted separately.
