We need Medicare For All, now.

Progressives: Dems and Reps are exactly the same.

Republicans: We're going to make it incredibly hard for millions of gay people to afford a medication that will keep them from spreading and contracting HIV.

Progressives: Yeah, see, Dems are the same because they won't wipe away $100k in student loan debt. :ahh:

bc technically they're the ones paying for it, which is the argument here. that's why health coverage shouldn't be tied to employment.

Progressives: "Centrists Dems and Republicans answer to the same powers so Centrist Dems won't hold the GOP accountable, which means Centrist Dems are materially no different than the GOP."

Centrists: "Oh, 'demS ANd RepS aRe eXACtly tHE sAmE'? Well what do you have to say to THIS?? :isudumblmao:"

Progressives: "That's awful. Are Biden and Dem leadership prepared to radically dismantle conservative courts?"

Centrists: "Are you out of your mind?? You don't win swing voters with such actions!!! :isudumblmao:"

Friendly-reminder that you can't allow homophobic employers to weaponize employer-provided insurance if we had a system where the government was the sole provider of health insurance. :heart2:

Being anti-M4A is the same as being anti-gay. :heart2:

Saying this but then getting mad at the only group of people who propose a way to reach such. :toofunny3:

Does this make things cheaper for employers?

yeah that’s my point exactly, I wish that I didn’t have to depend on my employer for insurance

I don't think freedom of religion and gay rights can co-exist

Not really when compared to employee retention but I'm happy to stand corrected by anyone else here who knows more.

My understanding based on what I've read is that for the majority of Fortune 500 companies, intense PR on a health topic outweighs any financial benefit to not including that coverage and for continued employee retention, many won't change covering this (at least in the corporate environment in many blue states) - especially as Prep is taken by more than just MSM.

It's similar to the discussion over crossing state lines for abortion coverage that even WalMart says they're now covering.

Bottom line, they need more employees and they need to keep those employees. That's cheaper than appealing to anyone else on this topic because it's considered such essential care.
