Impressive that he still could get it up though.

I worked in a cryptocurrency company. It is a relatively new/start up company, but for some reason they have like 10 c-suites...and like 5 directors, which is very odd in a start up settings.

Things started getting weird once the higher ups getting fired...Chief Legal Officer, Chief Relationship Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Finance Officer got axed in span of 3 months.

Allegedly the Chief Legal Officer was prematurely recruited just because she was from Harvard, worked in some jurisdictional cases that is similar to what my company is looking for, and have LOTS of connection. The Chief Compliance Officer dislike her and think she's a phoney but my ex CEO wants her in. While employed, all she did was shopping around and swim in her luxury apartment paid by the company and brought a poor legal junior with her until she can't be arsed anymore and tell the HR about it. So the ***** is gone. Apparently the Chief Legal Officer is really vile, calling people who doesnt go to university trash and call janitors etc to be roaches....yikes

Chief Compliance Officer got fired and then rehired back for some reason, not sure why. But important to note that this guy hates the ex CEO and is dating another higher up.

Chief Finance Officer got axed because he asked too much questions about cash flows. The issue is, my company applied the dumbest policy ever, aka ex CEO is the single authority approver, so he basically is the only one who has access to various document, banks, and money. the CFO got replaced with his dumb underlings who just joined like four months as a Finance Executive (which is kinda an entry to mid level position) and promoted to CFO to replace the guy that got fired. This new CFO doesn't do **** and very obedient to the ex CEO and everytime compliance and audit team asked about finance report, the ex CEO always the one that answer them with some excuses. This makes the rehired Chief Compliance Officer grew from hating him to be mega sus about him.

In March, we had a meeting between team leaders and c suites (weekly meeting) to just talk about our progress. I've been in this meeting for months and the ex CEO never showed up. This time, he was the first one in the call. So our project manager lead the meeting, showing up statistic blablabla and then not even five minutes in, ex CEO interrupted him and said that he dgaf how well everyone is doing, he just want to know the progress of a new software feature. Mind you, software **** is not so easy to be completed, especially when the company wants to be regulated and has a bunch of 3rd party that needs to have perfect integration with the new feature blablabla. So then the project manager guy told him the progress, installed bunch of **** but only able to test 30% of the feature due to policy issue with a 3rd party. He went ballistic and cry that the board, stakeholders and community actively asking him **** and because he overpromise stuff he gets **** on. And then he rage quit the meeting. Everyone then proceed to shittalk him, notably the Chief Technology Officer who is the co founder of the company.

The day after, we had a mandatory meeting in the morning informing that the ex CEO got suspended due to allegation and in process of investigation. I flirted with a Compliance manager to get the deets and apparently the ex CEO used up 25 million EURO in 9 months and now we are only left with 80k. They only found out about this because no one has access but the ex CEO to a lot of stuff, including finance deets. The CFO and the whole of Finance basically did nothing and they know nothing either...which is ******* stupid. Fast forward, in April and May no one is getting paid (except people from my country due to vendor contract) because the company is broke as ****, and finally they settle with the workers (90% of them got let go) with 35% of remaining salary and the rest will be paid in 2 years. None of the c suites are getting paid :D

There is a woman who is a director (gf of Chief Compliance Officer), the good sis went from Talent Acquisition to Head of HR to General Manager to Director in the span of one year, and when the ex CEO got axed by the board, she self promoted to COO (without any announcement lol). She legit has no experience in business and apparently the high turn overate is because of her (a tea from a HR Manager who she took advantage of and fired later lol), with people citing her as the reason on their offboarding interview. This chick is your quintessential linkenid influencer wannabe...who posted all the signal virtue and good **** to paint her as a good leader. Apparently the ex CEO made her to be his successor, and she emulated him in every way possible. Someone who got let go leaked a video to me where ex CEO gaslight my CTO because of backend progress being slow (they only have four people in backend)  and then she legit joined in and be more vile and demanding as **** when she does not even work with him (she and the CTO both report to the ex CEO). I know for a fact she was FUMING that she didnt get paid cause shes a c suite during April-May cause she told me so. My vile ex CEO is now in lawsuit against my old company and apparently hes been going around to come community members and blamed HER for all the bad **** that went down  I hate both of them so its a win win for me

oh and Chief Relationship Officer left because he was given task that was different than what he signed for at the beginning...he ended up being the direct report of my division and I knew he hated and barely do anything since I have never even have a single meeting or a call with him in the six months he worked here (and hes supposed to be my direct manager lol). This guy promoted two people (including me) and withhold our salary adjustment until five months after where he almost gone out of the company (he already submit his resignation letter) and only complied so until we got a new HR manager who is actually good and want to fix the shithole company. And when asked by the HR manager he can't answer for ****, and apparently never intended to promote us the proper way nor do raise our salary because he just simply does not care about the job lol

Thankfully none yet. I smell a rat easily, and a rat is always a rat. Normally they do it to someone else first so nip that in the bud when I sense backstabby, gossipy and manipulative behavior.

One of my favorite coworkers got complained about to HR through an employee portal where you can express concerns either anonymously or with your name attached. She was so taken back by it because she’s always so friendly, and the complaint said she was aggressive/mean. She kept harping on my boss after they had the sit down to talk about her behavior and my boss said, “Would it make you feel better if I told you who submitted the complaint?”

People being hired and called “rockstars” after 4 months only to be laid off 2 months later due to “cost reductions”. The start up job culture is such a glass cannon :toofunny2:

I worked at a dementia ward for a summer. I found out that one of the nurses had developed a relationship with one of the patients and regularly sneaked into the patient's room during work hours and locked the door. She stayed in there for hours at a time. One time a nurse walked into "their" room and found them doing it.

Everyone at the work place knew about this and had known about it for years (I only worked there for the summer), but no one was doing anything about it - even HR. It was just an accepted fact. :deadbanana4: Mind you, the patient was completely demented and had no sense of reality.

As a summer intern there wasn't much I could do about it, even though I told HR about it and asked them why they weren't doing anything about it and just got a nonsensical answer.

Literally DEATH to all of them.

And you didn't contact OSHA, HIPAA or whatever? At the very least I would've contacted the family or the news. :deadbanana:

I was very young and didn't want to stir up anything at my new job. All the "adults" didn't seem to make a big deal out of it, so I didn't want to either.

At least I tried with HR, but it turned out they already knew and was only bullshitting that they were "working on it" while it had been going on for years.

The family of both parts also already knew.

But, I did get fired one time, and I turned around and called the head of my health network and told her my director of nursing (who was married) was ******* her male staff and the administrator (whom fired me) was a racist homophobic dried up raisin

We all ended up getting fired, but I’d be damned if I was just me for no reason ??
But as a result I’m black listed from that health network :fan:

You better cause a stir before you leave, yes gurl.  The drama and conflama that ensued must have palatable.
