This doesn’t really make sense when the people that are posting the fake alluring side of their lives have major issues with their own self esteem. Living for the validation of others isn’t exactly a healthy thing to do sis..

The example I provided is more of “mythical one”

Obviously people that post for validation have their own issues, but is also irresponsible that people with low-self esteem issues are blaming everything on people who post their “best moments” online.

You can’t force people to post mediocre content just because someone else has low self esteem.

I don’t understand why people pretend to be rich.  Like, you buy fake bags, take photos in a fake jet, buy the cheapest appetizer on the menu, photoshop someone else’s face on your body, and then go home at night to your basement studio apartment and step over rats.  I want to say mental illness bc idk how else to categorize that level of self-delusion.  Anyone that knows you also isn’t going to fall for that.  It’s just weird.

eww like why would you pay to pose on a pretend jet then post it on ig when your followers KNOW you don’t live like that :bibliahh:

Maybe it's just because I avoid their accounts like the plague, but I'm pretty sure influences like these are on their way out. The cliche of fake photoshoots, purchased followers and obviously scripted product endorsements is just played out :coffee2:

You hit the nail in the head. Like what exactly is hype point of all of this? Everyone in your family and circle of friends know you don’t live like that.
