If I went back in time and told my 2017-2019 self that this would happen, I don't think he would've been capable of processing it. Taylor has always been so far behind on streaming, except, now she's not anymore

For how much longer? There was certainly a point in the recent past where no one would have seriously expected Taylor to pass Ariana on Spotify and now she's expected to widen the gap by a few billion before this time next year. At the rate things are going, it seems almost inevitable that Taylor will surpass Ariana everywhere on streaming as well.

It’s the lack of context for me. Like Taylor isn’t about to released her 10th studio album, and hasn’t released 4 projects in the last 2 years when Ariana only has 6 albums. Anyone with sense would have expected this. It would actually looked bad if she didn’t pass her. You can easily give both of these legends their flowers without trying to put down Ariana for something that was literally bound to happen
