Britney snatching at #1 without promo, no music video, she even close her Instagram, it’s was not at TTH until 3 hours ago

 

 

This Was truly a hit thanks to her, she basically sings the entire song not just a random verse, she is also credited as lead with Elton

LaShiNgS Britney has a higher chance of a solo hit than a collab considering all her historical collabo flops (including one w Madonna). Her only high profile collab is S&S   She’s not like the girls u stan for pls

It's not a feature. They are both lead singers on the song. 

What does that even mean? Her vocals are on the entire song save for the second verse.

Elton has definitely contributed to its song success on the radio, but Britney fans were still responsible for its success. Plus, Britney is much more popular with the GP now than she was in 2016.

To me she's omnipresent on the entire song, except for elton's solo parts, so I looked into it:

 

She's singing from 0:00 - 1:30, 1:40 - 1:55, 2:00 - 3:02 (only instrumental left til the end of the track at 3:22)

Eltons only solo parts are barely 15 seconds 

Britneys solo parts are from 0:00 - 0:15 and 1:15 - 1:16, 1:22 - 1:24, 1:45 1:47, 2:00-2:02, 2:46 - 3:02 (IF elton is in 0:45 - 1:30 and 2:03 - 2:45, hes actually the one that's fading into the background and barely noticeable)

Keep in mind that Elton is 75. He is one of the greatest musical artists of all time (in my opinion, #2 behind only Paul McCartney), and he could sit back comfortably in retirement. He certainly doesn't need to make new music. Elton is only adding to his legacy with the hits from this past year, like Cold Heart and Hold Me Closer.

Cope harder. Perfect Illusion fell from #1 to #94 on the official chart in a week. This is actually the biggest drop in the chart's entire history. Considering that HMC is smashing on Apple Music in Australia, it could remain in first place. It is also #1 on iTunes and #15 on Spotify, so it is guaranteed another week in the top 5.
