Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 1, 2022 Share Posted September 1, 2022 I am starting to wonder if more moderates have FINALLY been turned off by how delusional the cult of Trumpists and extreme republicans have gotten because of abortion, defending Trump’s inexcusable actions, hateful LGBT rhetoric, etc. and have decided to vote blue instead. Maybe the republicans finally did themselves in. Don’t wanna speak too soon but it’s interesting. It's been said since 2020 that 2022 is actually the best year for midterms for Dems possible because of what is up for grabs in terms of election balance and how gerrymandering unfolded. The likely scenario is Dems hold the Senate as is (maybe one gain, two if strong showing) and hold a slim majority in the House. A strong Republican response would be Dems losing 2 seats in the Senate and around 30-40 or so seats in the House, which feels unlikely given the generic Dem ballot polling, particularly the former.
