Not a bad top five, three of these would be winner material for me :fan:

5. Beabadoobee - Worth It

Average: 9.3

11 - @Sanguine, @K$Ellie

10 - minho, Hikari

7.5 - greento

Coming right after the opener, the momentum continues with this energetic number that combines the pop-rock leanings with noisier indie rock exploration. The way her voice almost melds into the drums in the chorus is incredible.

4. Beabadoobee - Sorry

Average: 9.375

11 - @Touch It, @Green Tea Is Green

10 - MP2K, Hikari, K$ellie, prezli

6.5 - Sanguine

The sheer vulnerability behind the lyrics and delivery of this song makes it a clear emotional highlight from the album. While it has a slower, reflective feeling throughout, all of that reaches a sharp climactic conclusion thanks to a final chorus + outro combination that is brilliant.

3. Soccer Mommy - Circle the Drain

Average: 9.45

11 - Touch It, MP2K

10 - Sanguine, minho, Hikari, K$ellie

6 - Green Tea

In a heartbreaking yet stunning portrayal of the numbness that comes with depressive thoughts,

Soccer Mommy created the album's hallmark single and a career highlight.

2. Beabadoobee - Care

Average: 9.55

11 - minho, MP2K, Hikari, prezli

10 - Sanguine, Touch It, diogo

5.5 - greento

Possibly a twist! It was the song many people thought would win.

"Care" is a brilliant opener to Fake it Flowers and basically ignited her career as moving on from lo-fi bedroom pop to a certified rocker with an apt for clever lyricism, witty delivery, and a knack for curating music that just feels good. If I had my way this would've won ngl~

1. Wolf Alice - How Can I Make it OK?

Average: 9.65

11 - greento, Touch It, Green Tea, MP2K, Hikari

10 - diogo

6.5 - Sanguine, prezli

However, seeing the brilliant showing this album had this rate, I can't say they didn't deserve it either!

The winner of our 2020s Female Indie Rock & Folk rate!! Just look at all those 11s!

Fair enough winner, I was a little harsh with my score for it. Care and CTD are perfect

Yeah it's a pretty good winner even if it isn't my ideal choice from the album! Also I would love it if an 11 of mine won a rate

Thank you everyone for participating!  Even if it was a smaller group it was still really really fun to host and I was so glad to execute this idea/vision that I had in my mind for a while. Some fun albums and it was interesting to see the results play out. Would love to do a part two maybe in the future featuring 2022 albums that don't make it into the This Was... rate series. If that happens I hope to see you all there... and tell your friends!!
