You just know ATRL mad Because sales, unlike Spotify, do not reflect any organic demand for a song. It’s quite literally just Nicki's fans mass buying the song. Edited August 22, 2022 by Domination
Kane Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Wouldn’t it be the biggest debut sales week of 2022 in general, regardless of it being from a lead female? I mean DWHAP did 48k and Bad Decisions did 45k…
RandomHooker Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 I am actually surprised by her success. She hasn't evolved since 2012. Same tired shtick, same lyrics, same feuds.

I was pointing out to that delusional user that the reason no one’s talking about this is because it’s a completely useless metric that only exists in 2022 to inflate artist sales by their fans.
Love4Janet Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 I haven't seen chart manipulation this blatant since the last song to hit #1

The song is massive on tiktok Edit: nvm, are you saying the mass purchasing of the song is what pushed it to #1? Both women engaged in blatant chart manipulation via releasing multiple versions of the same song as digital downloads and on streaming to maximize points. Break My Soul (8 versions available to download | 9 videos available to stream) Super Freaky Girl (8 versions available to download | 4 videos available to stream | song discounted in first week) These songs didn't hit #1 because they are being widely consumed, but because of the coordinated efforts of a few stans to buy and stream these songs en masse. It's not a fluke or a sign of times changing that two ~40 year old women have hit #1 back to back. They scammed their way to the top and deserve to be called out for it. Let's hope that Billboard changes its rules so that this fraudulence ends once and for all. Edited August 22, 2022 by Love4Janet
