Should I stay in my country for uni, or should I go overseas?

Most definitely study abroad. Not only will you learn new studies, but you'll also get the experience of a lifetime and it looks good on your resume.

I really wish that I had a friend or two who went to the UK with me. Having some form of support there would've made it infinitely easier. I have a hard time making lasting friendships, but I hope this time will be different.

There’s lots of people in the same boat. I would suggest signing up for some societies. There’s tons of different ones even a Pakistan Society and Taylor Swift society, it’s a great way to make friends with people from all different courses. I live in Manchester and used to work at a university so feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Thank you for all the information (is there a Kylie Minogue society though?), I'll definitely keep this and your offer in mind

That's a strong enough reason for me to go.
