Pathetic :bibliahh:

It really is pathetic on top of being embarrassing, am I being factual or am I doing the most? The Demi stans on the album base thread (a few pages back) was saying that this flop album is a important sound to the music industry and deserves a Rock Grammy nomination. When the truth is that “Demi Lovato” is a complete non factor to the music industry, period.  :lmao:

Its about time that someone puts them in their place and I shall be the one. ATRL mods would clearly agree with me.

No, you are being factual.

Doing the most is: 1) having huge promotional opportunities provided by the management/label; 2) constantly trying to stick to whatever is trendy at the time, but always missing the mark; 3) reinventing yourself every 5 minutes and declaring your previous persona as “inauthentic” for the sake of sympathy streams — and yet flopping second era in a row with zero hits. :bibliahh:

The lovators slamming their keyboards screaming that “LaBeL’s FaUlT”, “nO pRoMo”, “RoCk GrAmMy”, and resorting to comparing these numbers to Zara Larsson’s and Sabrina Carpenter’s numbers :bibliahh:

This whole album is an embarrassing, career-ending debacle. Absolutely no one is convinced she is some hard core edgy 'rock chick' with this try hard nonsense and the album cover is the straw that broke the camel's back. If you want to go there you best have the songs to back it up. At least when Miley was blatantly fishing for controversy she had great pop songs alongside the try hard image, whereas all the singles Demi released sucked, and no I don't care if it was "a return to her roots". Her pop rock singles sucked back then too, there's a reason she never had a hit until she left that sound. And she surely wasn't lying on a bed shaped like a cross pretending to be some demonic rock chick or whatever. The gag is by next year she will be renouncing this album as "not the real me" and will go all 'Younger Now' with a pure image about how she's returned to being a good girl and to God or whatever, but no one will care.

But let me not do too much because "29" is decent. But that should've been the focus of this campaign. It's a powerful message.

Instead all the attention is going to that album cover that really screams desperation.

This. All of her "inspirations" over the years come across convoluted, trend-chasing, and incredibly disingenuous. This album is very much an attempt to cash in on the pop-rock revival movement and while it could've been a great "return to form" moment, she seriously missed the mark because the music is just so bland and uninspired. I don't know why she couldn't have just released a great pop-rock album without fully cosplaying as an Ozzy Osbourne tribute act :rip:

The constant need to change personality/drastically overhaul her image with each release is probably why people don't connect with her. She's put out what, a dozen albums by now? To not have a single classic/signature hit or acclaimed body of work 10+ years in the game (despite having massive label backing) is sad.

I just saw the cover... Surely someone from her team must have some sense and said NOPE to that cover ??? :rip:

Im the biggest ODH on this site but... I actually feel bad for her :chick3: 4.6M is TRAGIC... like there's no need to call her a flop whatsoever, the no speaks for itself :toofunny2:

Nine pages from people who absolutely despise Demi and her music is just tragic.

Never expected this to be successful tbh. However it is her best album to date. I'm glad she's alive and with us today and still able to produce such quality of work. The fact she can still even sing after all the **** she's been through is enough for me.

I can't stand Demi and the album IS pretty bad. However, regardless of the quality and the very little Rock revival which is honestly not that big of a deal in the bigger scheme of things, she / they doesn't have one song on the album that pulls you in.

I'm pretty sure she / they knew, her label and team knew, so this is the outcome of it

Ruthless, but tea tbh.

The album is a bunch of noise and this whole edgy rockstar persona just isn't believable from Demi. She needs to find an identity and stick with it.

She had a good thing going with TMYLM.

life sometimes isn't fair, she deserved good numbers but i'm not mad i have music to enjoy! (i love her new style)! <3 <3
"without fully cosplaying as an Ozzy Osbourne tribute act" - so let's erase 90% of rock and metal because of it! you trying to cover your toxic personality with nice words but you don't fooling anyone you are ODH's in it's hardest version possible
