It seems like they don't care about her at all right? Cause 4 million is less than what SONGS debut nowadays. The album has no support from fans at all.

Absolute numbers don’t tell the whole story. Madonna, Mariah, Xtina, etc, wish they could debut with 4.6M.

But Demi went from 11.3M to 4.6M in a year and the pre-release singles have had zero longevity too.

29 - 1,129,244
FREAK (feat. YUNGBLUD) - 342,902
EAT ME (feat. Royal & the Serpent) - 328,162
SUBSTANCE - 316,393
SKIN OF MY TEETH - 315,235

HAPPY ENDING - 283,971
HOLY **** - 279,332

CITY OF ANGELS - 230,211
HEAVEN - 222,745
BONES - 199,149
WASTED - 192,598
COME TOGETHER - 188,628
DEAD FRIENDS - 169,425
4 EVER 4 ME - 161,382

HELP ME (feat. Dead Sara) - 155,166
FEED - 148,226

Lovatics can complain as much as they want about Scooter, but 29 is at / near the top of every relevant playlist apart from TTH and is clearly carrying the album.

Lmao at this thread and the ODHs. Seethe. This b*tch delivered an amazing album full of bops. I only hope more people will discover it later, but Little Demisexuals must feel so happy and proud rn :clap3:u guys have nothing to be ashamed of :clap3:

Comparing it to a SELENA SMASH!!!1!1 tho…. Of course that trash and blandess sells, we been knew :chick1: I feel so sorry for people who focus on numbers instead of quality. Why are u on a music forum anyway?

When you thought she cant flop harder :ahh:

One thing is to criticize Demi for the stuff she has said and done at the respective threads, and another is to come into threads non related to any of those events and thinking you're doing something by trolling in here.

She's been flopping non stop since 2019 and way past her commercial peak. This is already her eight album, zero singles have charted. She has never been at the same level of the MPGs so dragging her for not outdoing Miley or Taylor is just delusional, it's just tiring by this point to drag her for being a flop. We already know, it's been like this for years :giraffe:

omg, all these edgy gimmicks for this

Since you're such a stan could you name those edgy gimmicks she pulled for this :cm:?

It's still the biggest opening by a non-binary artist this year right?

That one user should have been ignored immediately :rip:

OT: I feel like Demi does better when she releases pop and r&b records, commercially speaking at least. Quality wise, I prefer pop/r&b Demi as well, but what matters the most is that the fans enjoy the record, so don't let dumb comments ruin this moment for you.

Freak is still amazing though. :clap3:

It did more than Panic :clap3:

Expected from this flop but the album is surprisingly good :clap3:

honestly don't care, she doesn't have right investment so we don't expected this to pull numbers. We love that music! :)

First time i say it but I'm an ODH I don't understand her fans talking wonder of her but I'll defend Demi of dumb trolling talking about her personal stuff in her music threads she's a flop so far but the music itself isn't the problem dancing with the devil removing the awkward collabs is pretty good I just can't stand her and that prevents me to listen any song from her, in resume all the songs I listened from this album are pretty good, it flopped anyway I don't know whats next for her

Didn’t they (she?) just backpedal this and say that they are she/her again??? I can’t keep track :monkey:

Anyways we all expected poor numbers, and considering the streams she had a year ago + all the bad press + the switch to a less mainstream genre + no prerelease singles charting, I think the numbers are actually pretty decent.

I am the same way - I recognize her talent and vocal ability but she/they has the most insufferable personality

Demi simply said that you can use any of They/She pronouns. Although the preferred pronoun is They, Demi doesn't mind calling her a "she".

I mean these are expected numbers. No one with good taste would listen to Demi Lovato in 2022.

honestly making fun of demi's numbers isnt that fun anymore, it's obvious that she doesnt care :skull:

Ok thank you

I was not at all trying to be insensitive, I just knew they had discussed using she/her again and I thought that was them announcing they were no longer non binary

Yall so pressed for no reason, she literally released the album with no hits/promo etc.:bibliahh:
