So you really think it’s appropriate for this white conservative woman to sue a queer person for the cost of her pool cabana because Shannel took a few dollar bills? :deadbanana:

The woman can’t even decide how much money was stolen.  Even in the video in the OP, the woman basically said ‘I had $1300, left with $350, so the queen stole $500.’   And management was still going to give back everything this woman CLAIMED was stolen, even though they did a search of Shannel and didn’t find nearly that amount of money on her.

The Karen is trash, there is honestly no defense of that white woman’s actions now.

What? Shannel robbed her, you don’t get to place restrictions on how she reacts lol.

Wow this ONE twitter account has caused so much hurt to the gay community and still continues to do so in the name of saving the children. And this drag queen should be made to pay it back and shamed.

Drag shows used to be raucous messy fun where all sorts of antics ensued. This was very obviously meant as a harmless funny bit in Shannel's show that was just a bad fit for 2022. Unfortunately, in today's climate it was only a matter of time before some Karen saw it as an opportunity

Just so you know, siding with the person who doesn't even know how much money got stolen from her purse and refused to accept the refund management offered to her despite being unable to find the claimed amount of stolen money in the performer's tips isn't the flex you think it is, especially in the current political climate.

Yes, the drag queen went a little too far, no one is denying that, but it's pretty clear who's trying to take advantage of the situation.

No I don’t think it’s appropriate and I most certainly wouldn’t react that way. But the way you try to spin this and paint her as the Bad Person when she has every right to be pissed off and even vengeful (it’s Not a Good Look, but a normal human reaction that happens) is telling.
Besides this lame narrative you try to fabricate with pronouncing how she’s white and conservative  - as if crossing someone’s boundaries is any less shameful when it’s a white straight woman. I mean in this very thread someone basically said she doesn’t deserve empathy because she’s part of “the ruling class” :rip:

y’all need some friends outside of Marxist queer bubbles

Yes you absolutely can lol.

Why does Shannel taking a few dollar bills need to result in the woman harassing Shannel online, suing her for $6k, and trying to tarnish her reputation?  Especially when she was already offered $2,000 by the queen's management and the woman refused?

Taking two dollars from a purse as a part of gag is robbery??????

Not only that but she was offered 2,000 for the "inconvenience". You are in a ******* drag show, gags are supposed to happen. Even without the 20,000, Shannel then threw 20 at her so not even those 2 dollars were robbed. Another annoying white woman ruining drag shows.

Who knows how much she actually took but that the end of the day you don’t take someone’s closed purse, open it and take out money.

Thats not a “gag” .

The f***ing irony of this comment.

"You should never incite violence on someone!!" 2 sentences later: "He should have thrown a mimosa on her!"

what exactly are you implying? even if there were no cishet people at the show the queen would've still taken someone's purse & taken money as it's supposedly part of every show :bibliahh:

What I'm saying is clear. When you open up LGBT spaces to cishet people, like cishet women on a bachelorette party, and who go to a gay club for the first time or a drag show for the first time for ~the wild experience~ of being around LGBT people, like at a zoo, they experience things for the first time and will miss the joke.

Like how drag queens going over and taking a sip of someone's drink is a common 'gag'. Or in Shannel's case, joking around a "forcibly" taking 2-3 single dollar bills from every patron (since one would assume every patron is going to tip a queen anyway) is common. It's not something a person familiar with American drag culture would be confused about.

By opening up the space, you now have opened it up to people who don't actually respect LGBT people. Which is why you now have a woman who didn't get the joke of the skit, mistakenly thought much more was stolen from her than just a few dollar bills, and who is now peddling her experience to anti-LGBT conservatives online as a reason why drag is bad even when the queen herself and management apologized for the bit not being obvious, for distressing her, and being willing to give her a full refund to the show for her entire party for the bad experience.

It's clearly not worth opening up drag shows to these kind of explicitly cishet outings.
