It's not a "they are making our children gay" or whatever but "this particular individual stole from a purse". Like even if she took 1 Dollar, it would still not be okay, doesn't matter if it's "the norm" for drag queen shows or not. However her and her husband trying to get the most out of this situation now is even trashier No it is because that account wouldn’t have reported it if it was anyone else

Shannel did an old-school bit where she goes through people's belongings to take $1-$2. Is that the smartest thing to be doing? Obviously not but it's something common from old-school drag and that's the drag Shannel has done for decades. However, after the show the following happened Her management searched Shannel after the show when the initial complaint was made and she had nowhere that much money in tips. The management still offered the woman a refund for the show + money originally claimed as stolen for the complain and she refused. The woman has changed the amount of money Shannel has supposedly stole, it was at $100-$200 at one point, escalated to $1000, went down to $500-$700. The woman's husband is a lawyer and they are currently trying to sue for way more than the money "stolen" including refunding things like her pool cabana because her birthday was ruined due to Shannel apparently. I believe at the moment they are trying to get over $6k back in damages I knew there were more to the story. This women is disgusting and clearly a opportunist. I bet she’s loving all this attention feeling like a celebrity! She’s playing the victim when in all honesty she’s really not one because i don’t believe her story. She’s just trying to get a check that’s about it. I hope they file a lawsuit back at her for emotional damage for sending ppl to try to attack hard working staff & then getting death threats because of her.
James_Dean Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 The fact she doesn't take her videos down after being offered an apology and the money replacement just tells me she wants attention- which she's obvs received. The performer should have never gone through her purse tho... even if it's just part of the act, it just seems like a liability to begin with. Best of luck to the performer because drag queens are already going through it with conservatives right now. This is just one more thing to fuel their hatred.

She should be able to get her money back without taking down any videos. There shouldn’t be any strings attached. Jfc how is this even a debate

She's already famous. And who carried that much money in their purse when they're going to a club? You need cash to gamble in Las Vegas, babe.

Valentine Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 I’ve been to so many drag brunches. The queens get very familiar, but the worst theyve done to me is take my drink or eat my food. Id get mad if they went through my wallet
Bloodflowers. Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Vile behaviour, she should lock that clown theft in JAIL!

She had a wad of cash in her hand. This queen doesn’t deserve defending, no matter how old school the good sis is. Don’t be snatching peoples purses and taking money. No, it's clear Shannel already had a handful of cash and only took one or two bills out of the purse. 7 hours ago, Moloko Plus said: This warped ass thinking. Only for the woman to turn around and try to sue for 100x more than the amount she claimed? 6 hours ago, bleuwaffle said: it could have been $2, what makes someone think picking through another person's wallet is ever okay? of course some of y'all are defending this Nobody is really defending the action of taking the $2, but we're all able to easily see that the "victim" is a piece of trash trying to use this incident as a cheap cash grab and as an easy attack against the LGBT community. It is shameful members of ATRL are bashing the queen more than the conservative white woman.

Blue Rose Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Crazy how people are defending Shannel when we can all see her take a load of cash out of the purse

Plus the venue offered the amount alleged back plus the ticket value. you are showing a very skewed and in accurate version of the event.

I'll change "$700" to "money" The venue offered to pay it back, the dq refused.

She could of very well had a majority of it as tips from other patrons. The video shows her opening the purse and adding a couple bills to what was already in her hands.
