HungryByTheBuffet Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 what is going on I'd say they've lost it but they've kinda always been unhinged 3
Tiziano's Boy Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Ugh, I cannot wait to see this! I went to see The Nun II, wasn’t great tbh, but the trailer for Saw X showed and I noticed it was censored from the original trailer , sorry but I wanna see the full gory trailer, also I’m so glad it’s gonna be one of the most goriest and grossest Saw movies, the gorier, the better

Uncatena Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 this debuts with a 62 on Metacritic, by far the highest score of the franchise (the previous highest being 48 for Saw III, the lowest being 20 for Saw V)

justin. Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I hate that V is the lowest rated and that the fans kinda hate it. It’s one of my favorites. I love the main trap sequence. I love Strahm vs Hoffman. And I love that it’s less gratuitous with gore (I know I’m an outlier here, but I prefer the less gory movies… Saw, II, V, and even Jigsaw (though it’s kinda bad in a fun way) is a good watch for me) I’m so excited to hear Saw X get rave reviews, especially for the plot. But I’m nervous for the traps because they are brutal lol.

Saw V on the other hand...I really think Jigsaw and VII are worst than that. The ones where king Scott Patterson appeared as the lead one will never be the worst ones, that's a fact.
fab Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Saw IV and VII are the worst tbh.. Saw V and III are both pretty bad as well but IV and VII were just horrible

The brain surgery scene kinda feels like the only 'trap' there's been any significant emotional investment in for the audience and it's so effective because of it. Jeff's bits are zzzzzzz but at least the traps are good. The Angel trap is maybe one of the most memorable visuals of the series and The Rack is probably the most disgusting.

The writers are so messed up lol.
justin. Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 The new clip with Amanda and John… oh wow. Shawnee is going to shine in this one!
Canon Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I think we can all agree Saw 3D/7 is the worst one. 3

Sonny Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Seriously can't stand that people are seeing this already and I have to wait 3 weeks.
Canon Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 In what kind of Twilight Zone alternate universe are we living in where a Saw movie is over 80% on RT. I expect it to go down with the incoming reviews but lemme enjoy this moment.
Roberto Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Holy ****, this was so intense and brutal. Definitely top 3 in the Saw franchise, the story is so rich compared with the others Saw, I'm gagging. 3

Just came back from my viewing and OKAY it may deserve that +80% Rotten Tomatoes score, it was GOOD I agree, definity Top 3 or even Top 2 in the entire franchise. 1 1
Tylerbv Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Just watched this. Shawnee and whoever played Cecilia stole the show for me. It’s missing the gritty, unhinged direction of the main 7 Saw movies, but the streamlined story and clear plot points made this really enjoyable. I somehow got a little emotional at one part 1
