If Taylor releases another album with 30 songs she will send them all to recurrent. But she probably isn't coming until November like last year with Red (TV). Heat Waves needs to leave before Christmas songs take over because if not it will return to the chart of January of 2023 again
LastGreatBloodline Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 is anyone keeping track on the alleged formula change WInston talked about? He said sales were downweighed this week and that's why the benny/BTS song didn't debut top 5. I wonder if this will actually keep SFG from #1

I wonder if this will actually keep SFG from #1 The fact that the sales divisor can determine the #1 race is stupid, and proves how unreliable the metric is. Sales need to be removed from the Hot 100 formula.

Hope Nicki can end up getting her #1

No. In fact, most chart experts predicted the song to debut OUTSIDE of the top 10, barely top 15 even Whereas Winston did not specify where it would land: So in conclusion the song actually overperformed.
pride4jc1222 Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 The sales divisor has changed. In 2020 and most of 2021, the divisor was 5. At the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, the divisor was 6. The divisor is at least 7, and believed to be 7.5 now: https://pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/213458/billboard-hot-100-08-2022?page=18&scrollTo=8244405

pride4jc1222 Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Massive, the song Drake pushed to pop, falls off the Hot 100 after only 7 weeks. I never really understood why he pushed that song. It was pretty apparent from the beginning that was going nowhere. Now would be the perfect time to push Sticky on pop, while it is still doing well on other formats. I think Sticky can go back into the Top 25 of the Hot 100 if pushed on pop.

I think the gays were stanning hard for "Massive" the week it was released, so they assumed it would do good on Pop radio, but they should know the gays have tragic taste since they like men.

With the 6 divisor the new BTS/benny blanco song would have been top 5. The new divisor is probably 7.5 which means that sales count less (maybe that's the reason Nicki released the Roman Remix yesterday )
