In the UK we pay something called National Insurance, that covers the cost of the NHS which entitles everyone to free healthcare, so you’re right this does do a good job to help with gender equality, and I don’t think many people here will be bothered by that, we all would rather pay for the NHS and help everyone get the help they’re entitled to.
