ZIVERT Posted August 11, 2022 Share Posted August 11, 2022 I know plenty of Russians who don't agree with the war, so for that reason alone I wouldn't issue a blanket ban, but it's a hard topic to discuss when Putin goes out of his way to weaponize the Russian people (and Russian language - the way he claims anyone that speaks Russian as a Russian to legitimize his imperial goals is sick). In countries like Estonia and Latvia, there are large Russian populations (initially placed there by Stalin to Russify the region) that go out of their way to antagonize natives. I don't know if I would support a full ban of Russians traveling into EU countries, but it's hard not to support making the restrictions tighter when there are Russian citizens traveling around the EU purposely taunting Ukrainians.
