Apparently she’s playing Punchline and not Harley Quinn. Punchline is the woman they replaced Harley with and she’s actually a lot more sadistic and evil but also more nuanced and complicated than Harleys character (who is very lame imo).

They're paying him $20 mil to return, that's the motivation Who would turn that down? Even big name actors accept bad roles/sequels for the high pay.

Yes but who knows at this point. If Gaga is playing Harley I really hope she gives the character more depth and makes her more sadistic but nuanced too. Harley quinn has always been such a boring lame character to me because she’s everything wrong in the archetype of a “good” villain. There are too many BWAHAHAHA mustache twirling villains that suck the lives out of a good film. Louise Fletcher proves that you don’t have to play a dumb typical evil villain. Louise is known for her “human” villainous characters that are multi dimensional. A gray character that isn’t entirely evil or hood. Those are the scariest and best villains. I trust Gaga will add way more life and nuance into Harleys character than Margot Robbie. I also hope they don’t give her that ugly tacky red and blue hair. The director doesn’t seem to be going through the “con” of DC Comics so it’s very likely gagas character will have a different name than Harley with a new look kind of like some of the characters in the first film had different names and the asylum in this upcoming film also has a different name than the comics.

Although this is an alternate universe, this teaser does not match with Punchline's origin and personality. Punchline is a villain, not a lighthearted anti-hero, and is not to this date Joker's love interest, why would Punchline be dancing with Joker?
