I was posting articles referring to the discussion in general because that was what I thought that user took issue with, given they never specified they, for some reason, took issue with monsters being included 

ATRL in general, including liddos, debated this movie before and after it came out regarding incels flocking to it. If there hadn't been a purge you could easily search for them. The fact that you're taking such offense to that

It’s funny seeing people switch on Joker now that Gaga is involved considering it was originally dragged online. Regardless I’m excited because the first was great and I think she could add a very interesting dynamic to this take on the character, all depending on the execution of course. But on paper this is worth the hype.

1. I like Joaquin Phoenix and he should have won an Oscar for "HER," not "JOKER."

 

 

2. "JOKER" was an overhyped bore—the "folklore" of cinema.

 

 

3. I find it hypocritical that little monsters are praising this as a "win" for Gaga after little monsters (and this entire forum) called "JOKER" a "film for incels."

 

 

4. Not to state the obvious, but Gaga is a bad actor, so don't expect an acting nomination for her from The Academy for "JOKER 2." I will say that Gaga's agent is amazing, though. The way Gaga keeps booking high-profile roles with a very limited acting range is incredible— the millennial Gwyneth Paltrow.

The stans are mad because this is the thing that only Gaga is able to do. Her contemporaries have tried time and time again to land big leading roles and they can't because no movie studio trusts them with such a momentous task.

 

This is going to be huge for her continued legacy in film. Her box office gross as a leading lady could very well shoot past $1b with this (and she didn't have to hop on an animated film as a secondary character to do it).

Yeah I've seen the OLDTRL threads, it's only one fanbase that harbors decades-long obsessions with Gaga like that. Anyway, love that she keeps booking R-rated adult movies.
