You stan for Double Razzie winner (for her only movie) Britney Spears as well as Kesha (who, to quote Rolling Stone, was "allowed to exist because of Lady Gaga"). On top of that, Michael Fassbender is THE biggest box office poison of our generation, bar none. Know your place and spare us the pretentious, poorly-worded analysis.

Before I laugh at your actual post, can I talk about the way you "signed" your post with your username like you're a big shot celebrity, that is hilarious

 

You clearly don't know how Oscars works.

Joker was never hyped in the beginning, it got less than 100 million opening but stayed there because of WOM, same for international markets.

Joker is a divisive film so there are different opinions about it in little monster community, your generalization is clearly bias.

She gets universal praise in every movie she is in.

Gaga was nominated for a SAG and BAFTA for House of Gucci, she was probably #6 for the Oscars. It's not as if she was panned and Razzie nominated.  

 

Also she already has a Lead Actress Oscar nomination, lest we forget.

 

Literally her first two leading lady roles in films have resulted in critical praise and a boatload of major nominations each. And both films were box office hits. She could not have asked for a better start to her acting career. Joker 2 will be a pop culture moment just like the first and this guarantees she will continue to be highly visible. There is no way to rationalize her acting career thus far as anything but a win. If there is any downside it's that it should've started sooner because she's too old for most ingenue roles now, but she will probably have a chokehold on the femme fatale esque roles from now on. Could easily see her starring in the next Tarantino film. Tom Cruise is also stanning her (as most homosexuals do) and it's not inconceivable he could try to make a star vehicle for both of them.

 

At any rate she will have scripts flying her way, because unlike Margot Robbie, Ana de Armas or Florence Pugh she can actually draw attention to a project with her name alone and put butts in seats. Audiences are over cookie cutter pretty people Hwood stars, just wait and see how hard Barbie, Don't Worry Darling and Blonde will bomb. People want real star power and mystique now and Gaga has both in spades despite not looking like your typical movie star. It also goes without saying that the upcoming Cleopatra movie with Gal Gadot will be a panned disaster because that woman could not act her way out of a paper bag and Gaga in the role would be infinitely more interesting and probably more successful at the box office. Considering it seems to be stuck in development hell maybe there's still a chance Gadot will Beanie Feldstein'd out of the role. Nobody wants to invest $200M into a film with a star who cannot act and whose only hit franchise has already dwindled into HBO Max irrelevancy.
