discussion Pandemic(s) to end in two years?

just incase you didn’t know, before the global covid 19 pandemic happened this twitter user posted the infamous tweet below and got mocked by twitter just for the whole world to change.

now the same user implied that it was a 4 year prediction. will covid (and now monkey pox as well) leave us alone in 2 years?

Covid at least isn't leaving us alone, we just got bored of it and moved on.

 

Manifesting a reality where no new pandemics make a debut in the next few years tho!!

Whether the pandemic ends or not, life goes on, and I'm a liberal and democratic saying this. I hope people are smart, are up to date on their Covid vaccine (the fact some people aren't vaccinated for COVID, and these are folks that do not have a medical complication that would preclude them from getting vaccinated, boggles my mind), practice social distancing where they can, and regularly wash their hands. That's all we can really ask. 

 

Yes, the people hit hardest are the immunocompromised folks, folks over 65+, obese folks, etc., but if you are able-bodied, can hold down a stable job, you can't let COVID halt your life. And I say this as someone with generalized anxiety disorder. Not saying to not care about COVID or that COVID can't have lasting negative mental/physical health-changes, but some people act like they can't leave their house or every day is Doomsday, and that is no way to live.
