Which track 1 on J.Lo’s albums do you like best/worst?

I think she has very strong album openers, except for A.K.A. which is the title track :rip:

Also would’ve enjoyed Brave more as track 1 on Brave vs. Stay Together (although I do enjoy that song).

Still sets the mood for This Is Me… Then perfectly, but I would’ve chosen Jenny From The Block and put that as track #1 instead.

Her strongest for me are On The Floor (whew, bop), Get Right and Love Don’t Cost A Thing.

AKA is a joke. I love JLo and most of her openers, but that’s the (objective) answer as the worst. Get Right is the best opener

I looove Get Right (og) and see it’s one of the faves so far here. I’m surprised because I remember when it was released they had to put out an alternate radio version with less heavy horns and even did a mix without the horns because apparently people got annoyed by them.

Im assuming it was because of that time period. Between Crazy In Love (Bey), 1 Thing (Amerie), Get Right… people were getting sick and TIDE lol.

Fact that Rich Harrison produced all those 3 songs too! Whew, RedOne teas!

Funk pop really suits J.Lo well, I think. Maybe your argument is also the reason why Whatever You Wanna Do never got the single treatment. That song was a jam and I was upset they chose Hold You Down as second single vs that.

AKA is very 2014, so fitting for its time. Stay Together sounded dated in 2007.

On The Floor is the best, but she has a lot of good openers.

I feel like Stay Together was more meant to sound like a dated throwback while AKA just aged terribly in general.

Exactly. Whatever You Wanna Do was a hit that got away due to the current trend that was already over saturated at the time.

100% disagree, A.K.A (feat T.I) is a great opening.

"Can you hear me now ?" :heart2::jamming:

It might be in my top 3.

Best : Still

Worst : Dance Again

A.K.A. was so bad I wouldn't be surprised people didn't listen to the rest of the album cuz of it.

Get Right was the best. She overall has great openers.

Makes a lot of sense!! I wish she’d perform it today and breathe some new life it it.

My good sis, AKA in your top 3 of track 1’s? When all those other bops exist? Also, Dance Again the worst? You may have to return your stan card :gaylocat1:

Love the Still stanning, though. A fan fave!

Stay Together is THE album opener. :jonny4:

(Despite Get Right being my favorite song by her.)

You both doesn't understand what's a great opener track.

Dance Again is so random, but that was okay for the greatest hits. :toofunny3:

Get Right was not the best choice to open the album, Step Into My World was!

A.K.A. (feat T.I.) is perfect to open the album : Unstructered intro beat and catchy sentence "this is not the gurl you used to know, can you hear me now ?" :jamming:.

An opening track doesn't have to represent the whole album, IMO.

My Top 3 :

Still on This Is Me...Then

Stay Together on Brave

A.K.A. on A.K.A.

The beat is dated, she's sound robotic and T.Is verse is out of place. Serving delulu with this.

Acting Like That should've been the opener

.

And step into my World is the 2nd worst song on Rebirth..behind Cherry Pie :rip:

You said what you said on AKA and that’s, well, one possible opinion. You’re entitled to that. I agree the opening track doesn’t have to represent the album perse, even tho AKA is cause it’s stylistically auto tuned to hell and back just like most of AKA. I rarely use that album as a fan, except for Booty, First Love, So Good, Let It Be Me, I Luh Ya Papi and TENS. But, Charades is that b|tch. We love a cute Japanese album track that’s good!

I don't like AKA it reminds me of Britneys POM
