I feel like it's torn between really going for something new and then staying with the patented Carly Rae formula. From the songs we hadn't already heard prior to the record's release, Joshua Tree, Bad Thing Twice, and Shooting Star are my favorites. Overall, a worthy entry into her discography, and I'm happy she's getting more positive attention. I still have to listen to the bonus tracks. The copy I ordered is the standard edition. BonniemcChicken Posted October 23, 2022 Share Posted October 23, 2022 i had alot going on this weekend so i just finished my first full listen through! it was much more immediate than dedicated was. i love dedicated but i didn't appreciate it as much right away. this one felt much more instant. it feels a little warmer than i was expecting. i love it. go find yourself or whatever makes me emotional. i see that song really staying with me for a little bit. the album feels really chill but warm. i'm excited to spend more time with it. i love carly so i'll be listening as i live my life. my faves for now are surrender my heart talking to yourself and go find yourself or whatever. but i do love beach house and western wind hit me alot harder with the full album. i loved so nice also. there wasn't one song i didn't enjoy.
