my favorites are easily:

Joshua Tree (WOW one of her best songs, so experimental in a great way)

Surrender My Heart (AN OPENER)

Talking to Yourself

Bends

Bad Thing Twice

Anxious (the chorus sounds SO much like Beggin' by Maneskin)

First listen:

10/10 Surrender My Heart - perfect opener! :jamming:

08/10 Joshua Tree - cute pop bop.

10/10 Talking To Yourself - perfect song, what more can be said? :clap3:

08/10 Far Away - a good listen.

09/10 Sideways - like the groove on this.

08/10 Beach House - always fun to listen to this, kooky & all.

10/10 Bends - this is really pretty! :foxaylove:

08/10 Western Wind - the indie folk-pop vibes bring good variety to the album.

08/10 So Nice - very cute!

10/10 Bad Thing Twice - perfection, perfection, perfection!

09/10 Shooting Star - a fun bop! Love the spacey feel of this, this reminds me of Kylie Minogue's Supernova!

08/10 Go Find Yourself Or Whatever - a good lo-fi acoustic track, I also love that this is here for the variety.

10/10 The Loneliest Time - a perfect disco melancholic ballad. I love upbeat songs with sad sentiments but optimistic lyrics :jamming:

10/10 Anxious - how was this only a bonus track?! This is one of the best! I'm just glad this wasn't left on a Side B as her Side B albums both have lots of gems on there that should have made their original albums!

08/10 No Thinking Over The Weekend - this is good, don't mind this being a bonus track. A good pleasant listen, gives me classic 70s/80s adult contemporary vibes.

10/10 Keep Away - stunning midtempo track. Definitely could have fit the standard too.

Great album, she never fails.

Did anyone go to The So Nice Tour? Is it different or the same as Dedicated Tour?

Japanese edition only has 2. Anxious and NTOTW. I don’t think there’s an edition with all 3.

Good to see all the positive reviews in here! Seems to me this album is coming to join Kiss, Emotion, Emotion: Side B, and Dedicated as yet another CRJ masterpiece :jonny:

Saw her in Montreal. Def felt like a Dedicated 2.0 with a bit more songs from Emotion. Really enjoyed it more though as the stage was nicely done. She sang Comeback (a mandatory reason to see the tour IMO) and 26 other songs I think so it was a lot of Queen Carly.

Bends is a god-tier Carly track, I love most of the album and haven't quite picked all my faves yet, but am very happy to make that declaration now.

Starting to think this album is better than Dedicated

Nothing on it is as boring as Right Words Wrong Time, Automatically in Love or The Sound

Rearranging the tracklist reveals the classic implications of this album :jonny5: It should obviously go angsty-carefree-reflective

As someone who loved Emotion through Dedicated Side B, I'm disappointed with The Loneliest Time. Surrender My Heart tricks you into thinking it's going to have this epic, big chorus, like Run Away With Me had, and then the chorus ends up sounding like a generic Dedicated Side B outtake.

Joshua Tree, Far Away, and Sideways are duds.

Bends is interestingly produced, but it doesn't go anywhere.

In all honesty, the three singles CRJ teased from the album ARE the best songs on here.

its def a grower, a lot more interesting production wise than dedicated and it feels super intimate although i can see how it can turn ppl off especially w some of the more mid tempo/slower songs

lets hope she gives us more CTTF/RAWM type choruses on side B!

my ranking (as of now):

1. Surrender My Heart 8.5/10
2. Joshua Tree 7.5/10
3. Talking To Yourself 10/10
4. Far Away - i hated it initially but i saw the light 9/10
5. Sideways - also thought was meh initially 8/10
6. Beach House 6.5/10
7. Bends i wish she did smth different in the second part of the 2nd verse and in the last chorus (but still amazing) 10/10
8. Western Wind 10/10
9. So Nice 6/10
10. Bad Thing Twice 9/10
11. Shooting Star 7.5/10
12. Go Find Yourself or Whatever 9/10
13. The Loneliest Time - this really grew on me 8/10
14. Anxious 9/10
15. No Thinking Over The Weekend - i think i need more time w this one 7/10
16. Keep Away - also need more time 7.5/10

ME TOO it just gets better with every listen.

Bends might be in the running to be my SOTY. It wasn't on my radar after my first listen, and now it's got the most replay value for me.
