So I've been listening to the album since it l word and i actually like it more than dedicated the only songs i didn't like at first were the title track and far away but far away grow on me and i like it now but i still dislike the title track it's the only filler on the album for me

This is much better than I was expecting! Bad Thing Twice has to be a Robyn sample or it’s way too close. Bends is one of her best songs like wow she really made a phenomenal track there. Love Shooting Star as well! Whole album was a delight, and Beach House is definitely the worst one. The bonus tracks are all great but they sound like a different album to me. A bit more mature sonically than everything else on the record. I still don’t really “get” what she’s trying to say with the cover art it feels really random and like an ad for HomeSense or something. But another consistent enjoyable pop effort from Canadian legend! Glad I ordered the crystal rose vinyl!

Emotion > Lonliest Time > Emotion B > Dedicated > Kiss > Dedicated B

The Loneliest Time is my fave of the released tracks so far, it really is a grower! I haven't listened to the leak though.

Is the album more like Talking To Yourself/Western Wind or more like Beach House/The Loneliest Time? :rip: Love the first two, can’t stand the latter two.

A good mix between Talking To Yourself/The Loneliest Time and just a liiiiittle bit of Western Wind.

The title track is amazing :michael: So sweet and beautiful with just enough camp and quirk :michael: Classic Carly :michael:

Just had my first listen through... My standouts so far:

Surrender My Heart is an adorable opener, giving me big Kiss vibes.

Sideways is perfection. Giving Dedicated era tea.

So Nice is classic CRJ - can't wait to see this one live. It's so so cute.

Bad Thing Twice is giving Emotion Side B. The verses remind me so much of Cry.

Go Find Yourself or Whatever reminds me of her Tug of War era and I'm so happy to hear her making this kind of music again after 15 years of being a fan.

Anxious being a bonus track feels like a travesty - melodically adventurous, a big chorus with dazzling production throughout.

Not an album full of pop bangers, but a very welcomed era from our queen. Cool, breezy, and melodically interesting. A little bit of everything. Feels like a collection of Greatest Hits, except all the tracks are new - but they borrow sonic elements from all of her previous albums. The only tracks that didn't grab me on first listen were Shooting Star and No Thinking Over The Weekend, but I'm excited to listen a coupla' more times before leaving it alone again until it hits DSPs on release day.

I am honestly surprised at the single / album pre-release choices when she was sitting on some of these gems. I really hope the critics give this the praise it deserves. She has such a spotless discography, always giving us exactly what we need whilst finding little ways to surprise us.

I'm really warming up to the more upbeat tracks on this album. Sideways especially, which feels like a Dedicated type of bop, but make it campier.

Shooting Star is so Kylie. it feels like her Dance Floor Darling.

Anxious was a standout right from first listen.

Such a good pop album.

it feels very airy, and as much as I loved Dedicated, this one feels like she sharpened its sonic universe here.

My personal favorites for now are:

The Loneliest Time

No Thinking Over the Weekend

Go Find Yourself or Whatever

Western Wind

Bad Thing Twice

Anxious

Bends

all career highlights imo.

This album will end up being timeless I think
