Renaissance  is #1 in over 105 countries on Apple Music with zero visuals, and has 9 songs on AM top 10 right now lol. It’s going to be a fun fun week-don’t exhaust yourself too much just yet.

This is good in perspective. Hopefully it’ll have longevity on the platform (like Planet Her, Future Nostalgia, and Happier Than Ever) and not drop fast like Chromatica

I'm giggling at 2 particular stan groups being so threatened by a 40 year old black woman.

 

16 tracks is a full bodied album, but that's only because Lemonade had 12 and didn't get proper treatment on streaming. 

 

Bey is carrying solo with no notable streaming titans featured after constant drags about her being over with no Spotify power at all. 

 

So is atrl mad that they have to inch the goalpoast to the left after they talked so much crap?

Numbers are not bad at all, but I expected around 55M to be honest with the length of the album and the hype.

 

Hope it serves longevity though.

Well BMS pulled bigger debut numbers than Perfect Duet and Savage Remix actually. 

 

We can split hairs about the time period and user base. But the point still remains. Yall said this girl was totally over just last week because of Be Alive and other unrelated tracks. I wouldn't expect her to stream in between the likes of Bad Bunny and Taylor.

Still a success, Bey always had surprise releases.. so people arent used to her releases being annouced. Also no video and mediocore song killed the vibe a little. Also trance or whatever that genre is, isnt in right now its a cute choice but some people are put off by that. But Drake made a "riskier" more calculated approach. He knew people wouldnt really like it. It puts him out of a box and then he can come back with the next album and people will be like "thats my man, thats the Drake I love" etc.

These are really solid numbers! I was hoping for it to be around 50M, but it's clearly finding more success on Apple Music - which we've seen with the global domination. Hopefully it'll remain relatively stable.

This is amazing I thought she was going to do 30m-35m, because it has no features, no music videos and it’s her first studio album in the streaming era.
