If we’re referring to Destiny’s Child, then their female peers would be Toni Braxton, Mary J Blige, TLC, Brandy, Monica, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera etc. 

 

All the above artists debuted between 1992-1998 whereas DC debuted in 1997. 
 

If we’re referring to her solo career then her female peers are Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna and Taylor Swift. 
 

All the above artists debuted between 2000-2005 whereas Beyoncé debuted in 2003. 
 

People need to make their minds up.

Xtina and Britney debuted after DC and JLO debuted in 1999

 

Her peers are Xtina, Britney, JLO, P!nk and Alicia

 

Personally I’ve known who Beyoncé was since the 90s so it doesn’t feel right to me grouping her with Rihanna and Taylor who debuted a decade after DC and only really became big in the late 2000s

  It just makes no sense how the Urban audience is completely carrying this era so far although the music is pop :

- BMS bombs on Spotify daily but holds up well on AM. 

- BMS radio play comes mostly from Urban & R&B formats. 

- And now the whole album does 43M on Spotify global but 8 songs do 20M on AM in the US alone.
