this is pretty good for her but underwhelming when you consider that her stans went on and on about how big she is for years

Hmmm and how about people saying her career is over the last 6 years on Atrl? People just pick and choose. :lmao:

Excuse for what?

Do you see any 40+ women sitting atop Spotify charts?

It's just a stat that gives context to her success

Sia and Shakira.

Both have topped Spotify upon previous album releases and both have sat in the top ten of the most streamed female artists on Spotify several times this year, alone.

Both women are Spotify mavens are both are 40+ years old. As a matter of fact, it could be argued that their Spotify power/presence is far more consistent than Beyoncé’s in the upper regions.

OT: Congrats to Bey.

I love “Renaissance” thus far. It’s my fave album of hers since “4”. Easily.

That can't be true because they claim she's so old and irrelevant that it's a miracle she can even get 10m streams

true when she wasn’t releasing she was the biggest artist in the world but now that she is they have to change the goal posts

both sides were pretty delusional to be fair, she’s far from actually being over

At the point where one of her ACTUAL peers is outdoing her. Until then :lmao:

How do we dissect who her peers are?

If we’re referring to Destiny’s Child, then their female peers would be Toni Braxton, Mary J Blige, TLC, Brandy, Monica, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera etc.

All the above artists debuted between 1992-1998 whereas DC debuted in 1997.

If we’re referring to her solo career then her female peers are Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.

All the above artists debuted between 2000-2005 whereas Beyoncé debuted in 2003.

People need to make their minds up.
