I'm no stan but i don't see many artists having those numbers after 20+ years of career. She did well.

I expected 20 million. I think Lemonade only did 7 million streams once it was released on Spotify in 2019

Since when are Taylor stans concerned about Beyonce? Since when are we shocked that a 40 year old is #2 behind Bad Bunny who is wholly streaming dominate?

No shade but why is that shocking? Olivia is arguably the biggest pop star active right now. :deadbanana4:

This is amazing I thought she was going to do 30m-35m, because it has no features, no music videos and it’s her first studio album in the streaming era.

She’s murdering AM rn too.

Honestly no male or female from the 90s is anywhere close to these numbers.

She’s on a league of her own

You always come through with facts. :clap3:

These are decent numbers. It doing less than Chromatica doesn't mean a thing considering it's first day streams did nothing to prevent it from being completely forgotten after the next day. Renaissance will at the very least do more than 3 weeks in the Top 10 on the BB200 as well so I don't see how Monsters can even try to come for this :rip:

Well yeah. The numbers are just added up from the global song chart, but on the first few days the order is usally very close to the tracklist

Numbers with the tracklist order

Break My Soul 4.250.388

1 I'm That Girl 3.882.604

3 Alien Superstar 3.470.344

4 Cuff It 3.416.032

2 Cozy 3.296.289

7 Church Girl 3.156.074

5 Energy 3.089.590

16 Summer Renaissance 2.488.712

9 Virgo's Groove 2.372.450

8 Plastic Off The Sofa 2.356.395

10 Move 2.123.692

11 Heated 2.008.084

12 Thique 2.001.086

15 Pure / Honey 1.841.913

13 All Up In Your Mind 1.769.366

14 America Has A Problem 1.727.925

Summer Renaissance sticks out a bit, but guess that's because of the album title. Overall its completely unclear yet what the GP likes

Summer Renaissance is #1 on TTH.

OT: great numbers and the AM numbers are huge too :clap3:

based on its placement on AM right now. HNs songs outside of Jimmy Cooks were already falling at this point.

This is Spotify. And we don't know the AM numbers.

and from what I remember Drake took over all the spots from #1 to #17 for days on AM.

This. The constant comparisons and truly pathetic attempts to drag either of them are embarrassing. They’re the two best female performers out there at the moment and they both have massive respect from both the GP and their peers in the industry.

I expected around 52m so it’s a bit underwhelming. It’s not really a streaming album with the long songs, giving me 30 teas which also had an underwhelming debut for Adele’s standards. Unlike Adele, Beyoncé don’t sell physical copies as much as her, so her debut will be around 200k… which is decent.

It will be more than that :gayoncecat1:

Typical OGW behavior, going into people's posting history to attack them instead of sticking to the thread's topic :bibliahh: my response to the OGW, if you have time to read people's old posts on atrl.net, then sounds like your life is lacking if you have time to waste like that  I stand by all my posts - past, present, and future :gaycat1:

This will be the last response you get from me in this thread, this thread is about celebrating RENAISSANCE's great first day numbers.

Beyoncé accomplished this without promo, videos, or trendy features. Something most artists could never pull off

Congrats Beyhive on this victory

She an taylor's solo careers started 3 years apart.

They are going to use 1997 or 1999 depending on the user to make it seem as though Beyonce as a soloist were in the group of teen pop peers when she was closer in years to Rihanna, Taylor, Kanye, Adele etc.

The justifications just make it worse when these numbers are nothing to panic about at all

chromatica did 34M without the ariana and blackpink tracks

OT: amazing debut

Goal post moving aside then are we pretending this is a good approach. Here numbers are not flop numbers at all to use this tactic.

Just curious, how would they know the numbers? AM do not release streaming numbers.

They don't know. It's fake.

AM has like half of the users compared to Spotify and suddenly the numbers should be better than the spotify numbers? :bibliahh:

she released her very first solo song in 2000 and was already known the next year as being the star/ lead singer of Destiny's Child, the biggest gg in the world at that point, so not sure what your point is
