Indigenous groups in Canada asked Pope Francis and Queen Elizabeth to apologize for the treatment of Indigenous people in Canada. 
Months ago, the Pope received Indigenous leaders at the Vatican, and now he is Canada to personally apologize for the church’s involvement in their suffering.

This isnt true. England is not even Catholic. And cut ties with the church centuries ago. If you’re speaking on the Church of England that would be impossible. 
 

For example, WWI was a war mostly between the monarchies of Europe. And is one of the deadliest wars in human history. And directly led to WW2 the deadliest war in human history. Both wars had nothing to do with the church.

Because the Monarch has never been one for apologizing. It's not in their nature. They've never felt the need to. They've always been in a position of power and privilege. But, I think it's important that we continue to hold them accountable and demand an apology for the suffering that colonialism has caused.

That was the Spanish monarchy. When Native Americans were discovered by Europeans, vote was taken in the Church to determine if they were human. Clerical vote was virtually unanimous for. But the government went against it. The Church fought the Spanish monarchy and issued a papal bull declaring the natives as human beings in order to stop the government from categorizing them as pack animals.

How would she have been any different? She would've had the exact same job as Elizabeth and therefore the same responsibilities and controversies.

 

Nobody should be apologizing imo. It's stupid for people to expect these "leaders" to apologize for bad things that they didn't personally do themselves.
