You’re right it’s insanely immature. Like it’s 2022 there is obviously room for Gaga and Beyoncé and nobody is pitting them against one another except obsessed Stans on both sides.

I agree Grace’s comments were quite harsh. Can we just all enjoy Beyoncé’s new era?

spill! :clap3:

yeah i can’t wait for Renaissance, i’m sure there’s gonna be some incredible music on there

Because Grace is a trailblazer, and very smart woman that knows true talent when she see's it, just like she's been around long enough to know who the leeches, empty vessels and frauds are. I love her.

She hasn't been around for decades though her last album in 2008 tanked globally & her last tour was small theatres

She hasn't had any pull or relevance for over 3 decades now she was mostly famous for her outlandish eccentric Looks and bizzare and creepy persona & behaviour which is all a act but the irony of it to call out someone for something she also did but just not as successful is hilarious!

She thought Gaga was beneath her back then but I bet she would sell her right arm to get on a Gaga record today.

She seems very angry at Gaga for no reason :matty: while she has every right to turn down her requests for a collab she has no reason to be so rude and vain

It's interesting that all three of Gaga's most obvious inspirations denounced her pretty aggessively. Grace, Bowie and Madonna.

Oh yes, it's very interesting when established older men and women want to embarrass, ridicule and criticize younger women, especially those who are clearly following in their footsteps. What's that thing called again? Misogyny? Idk sounds about right.

Grace's comment was so ahead of its time. :rip: Gaga's original team came up with all "her" ideas and when they left her ass years and years ago her artistry pretty much vanished.

True. It's very telling that as soon as people like Troy Carter, Matthew Williams (Dada), Laurieann Gibson (BoomKack), Rob Fusari, RedOne, Fernando Garibay left her behind, everything went downhill. They were treated like mugs and were never given the proper credit for their ideas. Just like how Gaga treats her supposed 'idols'.

She went on that Grammy stage and thanked Whitney for Born This Way PURELY to spite Madonna (no disrespect to Whitney but it was clear where the inspiration for the song came from). And then that ONE day later, she had the nerve to go on the Jay Leno show to say she "emailed Madonna and got her blessing". ***** so which one is it, was it Whitney or was it Madonna? :deadbanana2:

I don't know much about Grace but Madonna and Bowie took several people under their wing and fostered their careers. Even Grace is working with Beyoncé now who, last I checked, is also a female. Maybe it was something about Gaga specifically that turned them off.

So I guess what you're saying is that Gaga was a horrible person and deserved the mockery and scrutiny from the people she looked up to, and there was no hint of misogyny in their tone and it was all justified? I mean, that's what you are leading up to with this statement, no?

If that is true then why do Gaga’s metacrtitic scores keep going up since ARTPOP? Why does Gaga keep getting more and more awards since her debut not just in music but also in acting? Why is her current tour getting nothing but acclaim from critics? Why does she keep getting high profile gigs in the entertainment industry? Why do most legends praise her? I could keep going on and on but I am pretty sure you see my point.

Born This Way is about LGBT community.

Express Yourself is about a woman telling her man to express that he loves her.

How are they similar lyrically? :lmao: Did you even listen to Express Yourself?

They're really not, Express Yourself even though was written more than 30 years ago, doesn't have any type of problematic, offensive and outdated slurs like "Chola" or "Orient made":cm:

I didnt know Grace hated Gaga that much :rip: I mean, Gaga always cited her as an inspiration and always said nice things about her. She's even more pressed than Madge :rip:

So pretty much you said nothing. And I guess you don’t count acting or movie making as artistry.

No, not at all. In fact I don't agree with the statement Gaga has no soul, quite the contrary. But also I have no idea what could have happened behind the scenes to turn these people off.

It's just jealousy. I think it's normal. You see someone who could be your grandchild being successful at what you used to do in your heyday, it does feel bitter.

Why are you all concerned about what Grace Jones thinks :deadbanana2:

Gaga is literally adored by dozens of bigger legends from the same time. One of them not liking Gaga is absolutely ok, specially when that person is Grace Jones, a complete non-event with no songs that were able to break the time barrier.

She saw someone being successful while her success was very meh to begin with :deadbanana2:
