Kiss It Better Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 let's take a moment to appreciate R&B releases this year... while other genres are getting super boring this year with the lack of releases, R&B is thriving and winning with dozens of outstanding releases this year look at the material: not to mention the upcoming releases from: Beyonce Yuna (the rest of her Y5 project) Muni Long (her full length album) SZA Ari Lennox Daniel Caesar Kelela (?) Jhene Aiko x Big Sean (TWENTY88) Duckwrth Chloe's debut Halle's solo music beside that, R&B is also very much alive on the charts right now Bad Habit by Steve Lacy is currently #1 on US Spotify, while his new album "Gemini Rights" debuted with over 8 Million streams on Spotify WW on the first day and just last week, Brent Faiyaz also had an album bomb all over Spotify with his new album "Wasteland"

The Weeknd hasn’t been R&B for a long time, if he was white this wouldn’t be up for debate.
