Kiss It Better Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 since it most likely will be an acoustic version, i hope not

There's literally NO signs of her interested or wanting to do it is my point. Only people I hear over this is Swifties....its not happening.

Britney Is Fierce Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 (edited) I'd love to hear Taylor's Version. It'd fit 1989 better than reputation since it's closer to the former era chronologically and in terms of its overall vibe. Edited July 20, 2022 by Britney Is Fierce
NEUTRON Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 Rihanna wouldn't give sh*t but I would. It does not need a Taylor Version.
ahauntingnearu Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 I didn't realize people felt so strongly about this damn song. Did a few haters just spill in randomly? Lmao
Solaria Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 I hope so, I would love to hear her version. Honestly I really hope that reputation TV has some vault songs that Taylor wrote in 2016 so we can finally check if the Calvin Harris EDM album rumours are true
besaid Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 Rihanna got it because she makes the song great. I can't imagine Taylor on this or any electronic track tbh. Her fans should let this go.

Potential Second One are you talking about your fave bad guy user? 7 hours ago, lonnie said: And she should do it if she wants to. I doubt Rih would have a problem with it. Y'all brag daily how Taylor is a songwriter then seemingly forget how the music industry works. She's credited only as a writer and so the song is not hers because unlike her own songs where she's credited as the recording artist, she already gave away claims to that song when she gave it away to be recorded by Rihanna. Rihanna never stole anything from Taylor. Calvin literally chased after Rihanna to record the song and she did. If Taylor wanted the song so badly she would have recorded it and released it as her own, but she did not. Get over it already. The song is like six years old now and Taylor has released like six albums since, y'all have plenty of new material. I really hope TIWCF TV won't he recorded. I think that the majority of the swifties aren't interested that much into her version of that song tbh.
Galah Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 The strong opinions over this inoffensive dance track. As a casual fan of both, I think it'd be a nice addition to 1989 TV. I can't imagine she has too many leftovers from that album tbh considering it was her first pure pop record and Max and co. don't typically need to record dozens of demos to hit something good. It wouldn't even need to be an acoustic version, just a more synth-pop production similar to "Style" or "New Romantics" rather than Calvin's EDM interpretation.

I don't mind it because I think probably the swifties that are mad that Rih's name is attached to it might find closure? I don't think it's that good a song, nowhere near the best Rih or Taylor have done and I don't really care one way or another, but I'm just annoyed that the same conversations are being had for six years now. Taylor willingly gave the song away so that Rihanna could record it. That's why I have never understood the swifties that still cling to this song that way like Taylor isn't mad about it, why are they?
